| I think the exiles concept is good, however in a few years when all the NRL talent has dried up because they will get more money in the NRL due to the new TV deal it could struggle. Then a roses type match could be good as there should be more english players (probs from yorks/lancs) as there will be less NRL players coming over!
The fact is whatever the RFL do they get slammed. If ppl aint gunna turn up and pay theres not much the RFL can do.

| Quote: christopher "It would work if Lancashire evoked any emotion but it doesn't, it's been dissected too much. You don't here chants of Lancashire at games like you do Yorkshire.
There is nothing wrong with the exiles concept, we just need to give it time.'"
Surely the quality of the exiles team will slowly get weaker because we might see less quality overseas players in super league in the next few years.
East countries vs West counties might work with players representing the county they made their professional career debut. For example Tomkins at Wigan or Sinfield at Leeds. SOO took a while to take off but they stuck with it and look at it now. Then again, most fans are only d about their clubs sides an nothing else!

| I like the Exiles concept but I think the RFL made a boo boo taking the game to Langtree. They should have brought it to Hull. The Yorkshire v Lancashire series could have by now been something akin to Origin.
The problem was the RFL pratted around with it, the players didn't take it seriously and how well you played had no bearing on whether or not you would force yourself in to GB. The same old tried and failed guys kept getting picked. Sound familiar?

| One bad game and these boards go into meltdown. Classic RLFans kneejerking.

NRL PLAYERS-reed,widdop,l burgess,s burgess,graham.
Based this team on next season so morley and peacock need to make way for the younger forwards.
1 game at langtree
1 game at headingley
1 game at salford
would be a much better concept than the exiles.Wouldnt match the origin but would make a good series and give young players a chance to shine on the big stage.'"
Mossop is from cumbria.

Not to mention the amounts of compo required to Wigan if any injuries were sustained. Economical meltdown.

such collisions could lead to the creation of the 'Menninga Lyon-Boson'.

| Isn't Origin down under based on which team you represent on your 1st grade debut, not which one you were born in?

Spectators through the turnstiles is the acid test regarding any concept. I've always thought there's not much mileage in the Exiles concept and the interest would plummet pretty quickly. There will be more atmoshere in your local graveyard than at the next Exiles game at Huddersfield. The only pleasure I took from last nights game was Ratboy being levelled by Meli.

Part of the problem with atmosphere (or the lack of it) is that the exiles fans are only small in number and tend to be disaffected fans of SL teams whose players have been ignored and they are still happy with an England victory ?

| i think it would have to be based on where you were raised and doesnt matter as much where you were born.
Yorkshire
1 Eden
2 T.Briscoe
3 welham
4 atkins
5 hall
6 L.pryce
7 Brough
8 Carvell
9 Mcclorum
10 crabtree
11 westwood
12 l.patrick
13 westerman
subs
burrows
bateman
bailey
t.burgess
Lancashire
1 S.tomkins
2 Charnley
3 goulding
4 watkins
5 broughton
6 Lomax
7 m.smith
8 mossop
9 roby
10 harrison
11 hock
12 wilkin
13 o loughlin
subs
blythe
tickle
sinfield
farrell
very similar to the last team.
Game 1: Dw Stadium
Game 2: Halliwell Jones Stadium
Game 3: Galpharm stadium
As it gets more popular which will take years for it to get going properly, then move it to the bigger venues like the reebok stadium, elland road and maybe take it up north or go to somewhere like derbys pride park.

| Which part of Yorkshire is Blackpool in? And which part of Lancashire are Leeds & Hull in? Referring to Larne Patrick, Jodie Broughton & Jon Wilkin respectively.

| I think its been marketed very poorly this time but I`m not sure you need 2 exiles games v England
1st date Exiles v France Yorks V Lancs Yorks V Lancs Academy U21s
2nd date Exiles v England Wales V France
Personally I still think England V the previous years super league champions would also be interesting and ensure a big crowd.
