| What a sickener that is!
Now go and do what's right and bring Brian Noble in, the best person to steady a ship in stormy waters.
Wouldn't back against him landing them a Top 8 spot either.

Spot on, Noble would be great for a team like Salford. Cas should have got Noble instead of Millward in my opinion.

| Powell deserves a crack at the whip in Super League with Fev! Losing only a fist full of games in the last 2 years, winning 3 trophies and become England Assistant. That is just on the field.
He has 2 years left on his contract at Featherstone, which means a team would have to hand over a nice fee.

I fail to see how this is good news for Salford, as most of my Reds friends are pretending.
A guy who's come from the cauldron (albeit as assistant) of State of Origin and the Queensland Cowboys, who takes the job based on what he's heard at interview, presumably on what he's asked for and been promised, then actually gets into the post, takes one look and slams the club from top to bottom, then throws his hands up and jacks it in not much later.
Sorry, but this is a sign Salford is rotten to the core. I hear various talk about Wilky and Simms (others will know more than I do) and it's rarely good. This should be a huge season for Salford; the opportunity to turn a corner and hit the ground running at the new stadium. This should be an off-season full of good news and promise, and marketing to the fans. Instead it's looking increasingly like another wasted season lies ahead.
Still, perhaps Noble is made of sterner stuff than Parish and would relish the challenge. If Salford have the foresight to go after him, that is.

| Christ it sounds worse at Salford than an amateur club. It's things like this that hold back RL with unprofessional, pathetic set-ups like this.
I feel sorry for the Salford fans, they deserve better.

| Perhaps the Salford board should bear in mind that when the new franchises were announced it was said that a club could be dumped before the next round.

Don’t feel sorry for them, now they’re moving to their new ground, they have achieved Super-de-Dooper League Nirvarna.
