have they? Since the Wellington bid failed last time around (and the muted idea of having it in SL was coshed) I haven't heard anything about a bid for a 2nd NZ team until this.

When the NRL decide to expand and let's hope it's soon they should in my opinion pick Perth and a team from NZ.

I know this has been around for a while, but it's always good to keep people aware of events
Personally I think this has got to happen. I'd have the club in Wellington with maybe one or two games going to Christchurch (when the Super 15 club is away).

Christchurch drew a great crowd this season despite miserable weather, any team that comes in (as it will be many many years before a 3rd NZ team) has to tap into the Christchurch market for RL so needs to have a significant presence imo. 8&4 would be the way to go.
