Weird game. Relieved to get the win, but really felt for London at the end. I felt no sense of victory walking past the London fans as I exited Belle Vue.

| Despite falling at the final fence last night, London have surpassed everyone's expectations this season and to ultimately go down on points difference is really harsh but, a great effort nonetheless.
Ward has worked wonders with a small squad ad tight budget and there is no doubt that assuming that they play with the same spirit, they will be challenging for promotion again next season.
A great effort from their fans last night too, who supported their side to the end, even when the game was gone and a 400 mile round trip on a Friday evening is a great effort.
Hard luck and no doubt you will be battling for a SL spot again in the near future  |

Seconded. Sad to see London go as they've given it a real dig and Ward has done a fantastic job. I know Salford are believed to have signed 2 or 3 Broncos players for next season and it's a massive shame (although pretty inevitable) that Ward is going to have a massive rebuilding job on his hands.

With some pundits suggesting that they wouldn't win a game, one victory would have been "exceeding expectations".
They managed 10 wins and are only relegated on points difference.
Yes, they return to the Championship and in the final analysis, this is the same ending that it would have been had they not won a game.
However, with a small budget and equally small squad, they did themselves proud and they will no doubt be pushing for promotion next season.
Mind you, the top of the Championship (excluding Toronto) is tough, with 5/6 genuine promotion candidates, which all makes for an exciting 2020. |
