| I thought the drunks dressed as soldiers were Hull KR fans from the markings some of them had painted on (they were getting pretty rowdy outside Lime before the game), but my Dad was speaking to their coach driver (used to work together), he said he'd picked them up in Leyland, apparently they were a rugby team who'd played a game earlier in the day and were having a lads day out. Don't know if that makes sense to anyone?

FWIW I've always thought Hull FC fans are very well behaved when they visit The Stoop.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

They were in lime bar after the game and were fine, it was the loud mouthed Salford rift raff making all the noise in there afterwards

Ive been watching London rugby for years and Hull fans are the worst-my opinion.'"

| On the whole I thought it went well. I was in the North Stand Upper Tier where I could hear the incident in the Wigan end and silence in the Saints.
It did get a little silly around where I was sat when some fella shouted "Show some respect" across the stadium and two lads at different times shouted "Shurrup d*ck'ed" in a comedy northern accent and numeorus folk around them had a good chuckle.

I may have to hold my hand up here, apologise to any KR fans who took offence and admit it seems I was wrong. Assuming there was only one gang of lads in army gear, it turns out it was players from Leyland Warriors.
Like many others, I saw them up close in Lime bar before and after the game and from their markings got the impression they were Hull KR fans, I was also told they were by others who spoke to a couple of them. However, one of my team recognised them and told me who they were yesterday, certainly fits in with KF's statement above.
Wonder if they know just how much bother one or two of their lads have caused by being too fcked to realise there's a minute's silence going on, and then arguing about it.

| Us fans from Hull are used to taking some stick. Seems we are the only ones in the whole league who misbehave.

good job nobody asked you to guess then, otherwise you could have ended up looking like an idiot

We've done two of the last three years and had a great time both at the game and in the bar under the stand after.

| Quote: Tre Cool "The PA was rubbish at the ground and it would have been easy for people to have not been aware the minutes silence had started, particularly if they'd had a few and were from Hull.'"
Any reason for that?
It seems a bit harsh to be pinning this on one club. I presume that there were plenty of fans from several clubs in attendance, and so an entire fanbase doesn't deserve to be tarnished by (incorrect) claims that a group of 6 or so came from that particular club. No matter where they're from, the majority of their fanbase will have observed the silence fittingly and with the respect that was due.
Any criticism should be directed at the group of lads that were disrespectful. Not at a club.
And the 70-odd thousand attendees who observed the silence correctly should be applauded. Not all will have liked the player, but all will have understood the tragic circumstances surrounding Terry's death, and respect him for being a talented player, even if he was particularly irritating for your club. Well done to all of those.

Rubbish.
And now with some truth spoken and KR fans in the clear... phew, we watch this thread die away an fall into the virtual terrace history, never mind they'll be another Hull bashing thread along before long a'?

Good post mate, you were correct in saying a minority gets more attention than the people who respected the one minutes silence.

| Rovers and Hull fans travel well, I've no doubt fans from the clubs you've stated travel well to, I've been to the stoop twice, ended up chatting in the bar afterwards with quins fans twice and been told twice how good our support is, not that I needed telling.
You don't like Hull then just be at peace with it an join the end of the long queue, mostly made up by bandwagoners, let's all get stuck into Hull again. This threads the perfect example...
