I'd rather the RFL actually set realistic criteria. Over the last 5 years we have improved our ground dramatically. We have plans to keep improving it which may take another 5 or 6 years. Personally I'd like the RFL to judge each club individually, identify where the areas of their grounds are that need improving (if any) and work with the clubs to improve them. What if Wakey, Cas, salford etc can't raise $25mill to build a new ground? Should we consider them worthless or should we be encouraging them to invest in what they have and improve them to teh standard of teh likes of the HJ and Catalans? We all don't need to play on legoland grounds like the KC and JJB (not that there is anything wrong with them) but a mixture of ground types adds to the flavour of SL imo.

fair point, but the RFL have a bigger agenda and want 20,000 all seater stadiums for each team. Why, feck knows, but it is their plan for the future.
I have said elsewhere, I want Wakey to survive and if that means a ground share, then fine.
HKR are 2nd and well done, but let's not forget the other criteria of licences.......youth development, quota...etc...
You are doing well, but when you have the same allowances as everyone else, then and only then will you be able to see how far you have come  |

I see that very little, if any, of the funding from the sale of LBA is going towards sports development etc in Keighley.
That however may not be the case and we will get help with the funding to make Cougar Park into a championship jewel with facilities to soooper doooper league standard.
I won't hold my breath though.
Nice for the Bulls etc if it comes off but the "odsal" saga reminds me of the boy who cried wolf.
We shall see.

I have heard from a friend who works in construction that the success of the Bradford scheme is inextricably tied up with the redevelopments of Belle vue and cas.
The reasoning is that they will need all of the rubble from those two grounds to fill in the hole and they are wanting to recycle as much as possible to keep costs down.
