I’ve said for a long time Wakefield have real potential, sadly for too many years they weren’t run particularly well, and I still think that they and Cas spend too much time worrying about each other and not enough about just getting the bodies through the gates.
Saying that, I also think a successful Wakefield will make it much more difficult for Cas to grow.'"
What a bore you are. As for the two faced flattery give over you fool no one. I bet when Cas were going great guns early SL taking a 100 buses to London you were wetting yourself.
Get back under your stone and leave us both alone, there's a good lad.

| Cas have never relied on waky for anything, we got some help from WMDC with the pp going in, but not much ells, for me it was a wast of a hell of a lot of money, if Cas do get a new stadium it would be massive for the Xscape and Junction 32 complexes with away fans making a full day in the shops and restraints, Glasshoughton is a perfect site to build a multi purpose stadium, there would be no lose of green belt land & the M62 & rail link is on the door step, but if that is not to be, re furbish the old ground, all it needs is a new main stand, with new dressing rooms, and a few new bars to bring it up to scratch, then we would have three sides covered, and at a later date cover the railway end, all this could have been finished in stagers over the last ten years, but we kept being told it was not feasible by Mr Wright, and the new stadium was just round the corner, know he has gone into the wings, & i for one will never believe any thing he says again. The one thing i do know is that Cas do have assets unlike some other clubs, if we do get a new ground it will be Cas`s, if we renovate it will be Cas`s, and if Newmarket gets build and we don't have a ground fit for purpose, we can sell the land, become debt free and share Newmarket with it being a community ground, and Cas being part of the community

Althiough it's good to have asset's, most clubs seem to rent their grounds these days.
I'd certainly be happy going to watch Wakey at Newmarket

You don't make anyone laugh, that's the problem you old windbag. Most trolls at least have the courtesy to be funny or interesting.

It was a relegation because you finished in a relegation spot, one which you knew about at the start of the year, you didnt make way, you were relegated. Wigan finished 3 positions ahead of you in the league table, you werent relegated because wigan broke the salary cap.'"
Of course there are other factors to take into consideration, namely that Wigan spent money a player they couldn't afford (Dobson) and that we were also in for.
One could argue that had Wigan not spent over the cap and Cas had signed Dobson, Cas would have stayed in SL. There is a much wider picture to take into consideration but being an anti-Cas Leeds fan, I don't suppose you see much outside of black and white.

I know it's hard to comprehend for insular-minded fans but there is a much wider criteria for Super League licensing than stadia. I know it's hard to understand but that's the fact of the matter.
The simple fact is that the likes of Cas are superior in other areas.

| I think what a lot of fans from both clubs fail to realise is that Wakefield benefit from a strong and well-supported Castleford club and vica versa. In terms of away support (and therefore cash) the game between the clubs is often one of the best attended due to the local rivalry and close proximity to each other. It benefits both clubs for the other to succeed, bringing more supporters and increasing cash into both clubs.
In terms of new stadia, neither club seem to be ready to start building. Without being an expert, Cas simply don't have the cash and (as I understand but may be wrong) Newmarket will not be built until a certain number of warehouse units are built and occupied, which could be years down the line judging by the amount of already-empty warehouse space within only a few miles of the site.
I'd groundshare if it meant the future success of the clubs, if Inter Milan and AC Milan can share the San Siro I'm sure we can manage it.

The thing is Notts, most fans from Wakefield and Cas know full well that we benefit from each other. It's a great rivalry well worth marketing. It's only when outsiders start pushing the ground share that the arguements start and because the ground situations aren't sorted yet, we start the one upmanship routine.

One could argue that but they would look silly, Wigan finished three places above Castleford. Castleford weren’t relegated because Wigan overspent on the cap, they were relegated because they finished in a relegation place, Wigan weren’t because they finished a quarter of the league away from a relegation place.

Which has the square route of f@ck all to do with the fact that Castleford finished 3 places below them.

I assume you come from some posh place where a square root has a posh spelling then?
Never a winning argument to poke fun at the way someone speaks or where they come from. Just shows no depth to your point.
I think what Fully and Vastman are saying is that Wigan got away with cheating as the pennalty received didn't match the advantage they received by over spending. Unfortunately that is now history but the point stands for future offenders.
