Seriously?? For me he was easily our best player in the recent series and that was against someof the worlds top forwards, playing wise only personally think he will go better than whitehead over there

I agree, whatever you think of Ferres the man, the player certainly has talent that can't be denied . playing in a side at the top end of the table and more often than not on the front foot he should be a top player for the Roosters. Those thinking an England international in his prime can't even hold his own in the NRL are off their rockers imo, and just another example of over egging that comp. good as it obviously is.

| I can't see him being invited round to any of his new teammates houses for a barbie though - unless they're having a spit roast...

This!! Our top line forwards have proved time and again they can go over there and not only compete but be better than most of their counterparts throughout the comp. What we now need is some backs to go and prove it too. Burgess is a start but we need someone like Kallum Watkins to go. Who for me has the potential to be the best centre in the world but wont do it looking a star agianst weaker super league clubs Leeds fans wont like it but for me he needs to have the intensity to sharpen up his concentration skills to really step up to being truly world class

Actually sounds like the world of Football management where the Tic Tac gets you paid out of a lucrative contract only to join the merry go round and become the new Messiah at another club. The only difference is you get rewarded for failure.

Kallum Watkins - easily the most overrated player in that Leeds team and looks badly out of place in the England set-up, in an ideal world he needs to improve his game considerably to be an International class player, however such is the weakness in that department for English players he'll be in every single selection.

| I think the main thing Watkins had going for him was being considered to be slightly better than Cudjoe...

| Anyway, having seen so many of our forwards head for the NRL, I'm far from sure I want an exodus of our backs too, in the hope that it *might* slightly improve the England side.
We've already just lost arguably the best three-quarter in SL to the NRL; do we really want to see more go?

| Watkins hasn't played well in an England shirt either in the recent NZ Test series or before it!
He's been no better than Ryan Atkins was but has had far more opportunities as opposed to being written off by the coach like Atkins has been.
I'm not suggesting that Atkins is better than Watkins or that he's international class but Watkins needs to start justifying his status outside of a Leeds Rhinos game.
