Thats the basis of GF's infamous 20 point plan
I somehow missed the original flowers suggestion, always makes me laugh though. Which roundabout was he refering to, the one by the car dealership?

I believe the original suggestion was flowers and sponsorship of TWICKENHAM STATION.....but the funny guys and gals on here somehow turned it into sponsoring a roundabout
I still say sponsoring the Station, a la the Brit Oval at Vauxhall, would be a cost effective way of letting the locals know we exist.....

| Great news this. I always loved the Broncos tag. Does this mean Buck comes back?

It was a confirmed a while ago that Buck and Dusty (who have been ever present while we were Harlequins) are to be scrapped. This is the only small hope that I have that the club aren't going ahead with this hopeless, embarrassing and badly thought out move back to being London Broncos, a brand that is associated with failure and a massive step backwards, no matter what some flatcap wielding anti-Union Northerner thinks.

Didn't the Broncos finish second and reach the Challenge Cup Final? How did that brand compare with Harlequins RL who made the play offs once I think?

I know you already know this as you are an intelligent RL supporter, but you refer to a very short period of time as the Broncos where the club had a rich investor who was splashing his cash and he still couldn't make it work before backing out. This is of course alongside the fact the team was chock full of Aussies etc.
The main memories of London Broncos are a club that was on a massive decline for several teams, most noticibly off the pitch, where the club went bust after playing infront of nobody in a horrible stadium. Why can't we just forget this era instead of going back to it for some odd reason? It wasn't a winning formula and never will be.
Fingers crossed Hughes is going to spring a shock in 10 days time

| My main memory of London Broncos is appointing Tony Rea as coach and keeping him there for far too long. I'm guessing the link there will be that perhaps the club couldn't afford to pay for a coach as well as a Chief Exec. Whatever the case it can't be Harlequins RL because that's just rubbish.

Rea got us into the playoffs several times, something that McDermott never managed. I think you need to have a lie down.

What's that supposed to mean? (Btw twice does not mean several times).

Alright, twice, whatever. Rea enjoyed relative success at the club. McDermott didn't Powell hasn't. Supporters now would love to see Rea back at the club. You have no idea what you are talking about in all honesty.

Are you ok bud? You appear to have taken my feedback on the name change to heart. I hope I haven't stepped over a line there. It was you who brought McDermott and Powell into the discussion to try and support your argument in favour of Rea not me. A couple of play offs appearances is hardly the stuff of legend. It might be successful in the context of what has happened since he left but it isn't in the context of what the club achieved before his appointment (I understand what you say about the resources but we can only assess based on what actually happened and not what didn't, should have or could have). Perhaps we are both not entirely correct and the truth lies somewhere in-between.
As for Rea coming back, why would you not want to take a chance on somebody who might have the potential to exceed Rea? Why would you go back to somebody who is, at best, average? I'd take any current coach in Super League over Rea, with the exception of Agar. Please note that I am not knocking Rea for his commitment, energy, enthusiasm or character.
