| Don't have a club team so it's England and GB only for me.
This is my favourite England shirt and it brings back good memories of the 1995 world cuphttp://www.oldrugbyshirts.com/img/season_shirts/england-home-rugby-shirt-1995-to-1996-s_34_1.jpg" >
If I could change it slightly I would prefer a different badge and no sponsor.
I also like the GB shirt apart from the four nations badge. I want to compete as one nation and not as a rugby union style British and Irish lions team. I don't mind competing as Great Britain or preferably England, but I don't like the British and Irish or British Isles XIII. That's OK as a once every four years touring team, but not as a national team for world cups etc.

| Quote: vikingsmurf "nice work on the southern orcas crest btw, i remember mentioning on a franchising thread ages ago that a bid from the south island was aiming for the NRL, only to be shouted down for 'talking rubbish'.'"
They're actually the Wellington Orcas....if the NRL do want a second team over here, I think it will be based here in Wellington with games taken "on the road" to the south Island. Many discussions have been had regarding the pro's and con's of a south Island NRL team....but the basic facts like demographic make up of the area etc....point to wellington being the next NZ NRL team.
If you ever change your mind re- the Fulham shirt let me know! You might make enough to get a really nice fram from your Widnes Shirt!

Great Britain isn't a nation, it's an island. It does not include Ireland (hence the 'Irish' addition to the name). And GB&I haven't competed for a World Cup for nearly 2 decades.

So you are accusing me of being Dally Messenger now are you? Makes a chance from being accused of being Barry Mackenzie I suppose.

And the "& Ireland" was only tagged on so Brian Carney was eligible, wasn't it?!

I wonder if 'Great Britain and Ireland' were resurrected for a tour of Australia and New Zealand how many bona fide Irishmen would actually make the side?

That would be because for the majority of our existence we have worn hoops. I think thats a fairly good reason.
As for there being a minority--I am unsure. Just because we didnt have our major success in hoops doesnt mean we should never play in them.
