Rugby League optomist
Northern Ireland home of the underdog and capital of losing when favourites.:44271.gif |

| Quote: dally messenger "the most important thing jamie has to do this year is win the GF for saints.
playing meaningless internationals before poor crowds and minimal TV audiences dont mean much compared to a crowd of 83,000 and millions on TV.'"
hardly meaningless. or is it because your making excuses already for australia losing in the final in november?
I would be happy but surprised if soward got picked for Oz. hes got form on his side but i think the selectors would wont to see him under severe pressure in origin first net season.

Selectors stick with tried and tested ![Very Happy icon_biggrin.gif](images/smilies//icon_biggrin.gif) THE bolters were few and far between as Australian Rugby League selectors stuck with recognised talent in naming their Four-Nations train-on squad today.
The squad, from NRL sides missing the finals, contains 18 players - 14 of whom played in this year's State of Origin series.
![Very Happy icon_biggrin.gif](images/smilies//icon_biggrin.gif) Price's unavailability has opened the door for the likes of Galloway, St George Illawarra pair Justin Poore and Michael Weyman and Brisbane powerhouse Dave Taylor for next month's trip to the northern hemisphere to take on England, France and World Cup holders New Zealand.
![Very Happy icon_biggrin.gif](images/smilies//icon_biggrin.gif) Thurston still on top
Props Pentathlon
Bailey's blues
De Gois and Mullen the big movers
Farah in poll position
.
Selectors will continue to add players as sides bow out of the premiership race, with a Prime Minister's XIII to be named on Monday week for the annual clash with Papua New Guinea.
Australia Squad
Johnathan Thurston, Luke O'Donnell, Matthew Scott (all North Queensland), Nate Myles (Sydney Roosters), John Sutton (South Sydney), Paul Gallen, Luke Douglas (both Cronulla), Terry Campese, Joel Monaghan, David Shillington, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (all Canberra), Michael Jennings, Trent Waterhouse, Luke Lewis, Petero Civoniceva (all Penrith), Robbie Farah, Chris Lawrence, Keith Galloway (all Wests Tigers).
