| You know, I havent mentioned Widnes once, the only people that have are, er, Widnes fans. Who apparently "dont care" or something.
But shall we asses a few other teams records?
Halifax - were in SL, went bust trying to compete.
Huddersfield - were in SL, couldnt compete, took a long time to rebuild.
Widnes - were in SL, couldnt compete, went bust trying to get back in
Leigh - were in SL, couldnt compete, nearly went bust as a result of trying to compete.
Did I miss anyone?
Oh yeah
Celtic - brand new in SL, not being given chance to even try and compete before being lynched.

| People are overreacting big time. A recent news report on Celtic stated that they need 4,500 fans a game to break even. Despite RL being relatively new in Wales and having some opponents who aren't especially big draws to the local people they're actually not too far off that pace. After 9 home games their average crowd is 3,778, more than 80% of their break-even level. Maybe not great, but not that bad in the current economic climate I'd say.

Halifax , went bust not competing
Huddersfield , bailed out by sugar daddy , still being bailed out by sugar daddy
Widnes , dropped out of SL to make way for French club , didn't moan about it , had to bust club to get rid of unworkable rental agreement , now very solvent
Leigh , went up , were crap and contrary to popular opinion did not nearly go bust trying to compete , they finished bottom and were rightly relegated

And don't try to play dumb, it's obvious what you were getting at.'"
Their disgust was probably founded though!!
This season was always going to be tough.
Celtics promotion and 'soon after demise' was inevitable IMHO. It was far too soon!

| I dont seem to remember Fax, Oldham nor Workington being supported by the RFL when they got into strife in SL. So people moaning that the RFL have a duty to support Celtic's cause now in their time of strife is a bit rich.
Good luck to Celtic by the way and I really do hope they get through their current problems.
As for the RFL, get your head out of your and start making some sensible decisions instead of living in fantasy land. Look after your own for a change and who knows the sporting world may respect you instead of looking at you as clowns. If the RFL wasnt run by clowns for a change, the RFU and WRU would $hit themselves.

Was the Border agency / police involved in a raid on a hairdresser's or similar a couple of seasons ago when one of Hull's overseas contigent partners was found working illegally ?

.'" Unless the clubs or the RFL come out and confirm one way or the other if they did or not nobody knows what if any support was given to them.
But even if no support was given does that mean the RFL can't learn from their mistakes and put things in place to help future clubs? Surely having this task force in place to support and guide the clubs can only be a positive thing?

Which bit ?
Did Fax compete in 2003 ?
Were they bust when they came down ?
Has K Davy bailed out Huddersfield ?
Is he still bailing them out ?
Did Widnes only get relegated because the Catalans were introduced in 2005 ?
Have they subsequently got a better rental agreement on the Halton/Stobart stadium ?
Are they now a solvent club [ as far as anybody can be ] ?
Did Leigh compete ?
Did we get relegated ?
Have we gone bust since we entered SL ?
Away you go
Which of those statements is wrong ?

| Oh where to start...
Fax didnt compete, because they were going bust and offloaded all their players of any ability.
Yes, in all but name.
No
No
No, because they ended in a relegation spot that season, thats why they went down.
Dont know, but its also irellavant
Yes, after you got relegated, pushing all you had into winning a one off match which you lost. The very epitome of what the franchise system sought to avoid.
So, erm, pretty much all of them.
Next.
