Anyone else noticing that the kiwis are deliberately having one player at marker when they near their line. This allows an extra player to defend closer to the line.

I noticed it when Sinfield was held up and I spotted it on another occasion when only Manu was at marker.

That's a common tactic, you don't need two markers when defending on the line, they just get in the way. One marker and two men tight on the line to the ruck who get low and prevent a scoot.

Hopefully the amount of tackling the NZ'ers have put in will pay off in the second half and more gaps will open up & tackles will be missed.
