I agree I don't see Murphy taking Shuan Briscoe's spot at fullback and as previously stated Widnes have a good selection of halves already.

Silly money is what any player who turns Bradford down gets when he signs elsewhere, particularly props

Fielden didn't turn Bradford down he joined Giants for Silly money
Mason didn't turn Bradford down he joined Cas for Silly money
Walker didn't turn Bradford down he joined Rovers for Silly money
Kopczak didn't leave Bradford for longer term security he joined Giants for Silly money
Hargreaves didn't leave Bradford in disgust at the way they were run last year he changed career entirely for Silly money

Its quite simple really, every player who chooses not to join/stay at Odsal can surely only have been tempted by a huge proportion of another clubs salary cap.

Well I don't know exactly what he's on at the Giants but I was told he asked Bradford for quarter of a million. I'd be surprised if he has drastically dropped his demands when going elsewhere.

To me, for a player who's never been right since Willie Mason floored him and hasn't seen 80 minutes of rugby in the last 2 years that's a silly amount to pay.

Given the Giants have released 11 players but only signed 6 it's safe to say that the ones coming in are getting what those going out where paid.

Unless of course you're naive enough to think players have signed for you for the love of the club and a bit of petrol money to training like GiantDee seems to.

As if anyone would pay Stuart Fielden a quarter of a million pounds a year!? A quater of a million over 3 years would be good going for his current standing.

TBH even over three years it would be overpaying. On his recent record it would be 80k+ per game. Think someone's been pulling roofaldos leg re him asking for 250k.
Had heard we offered him a smaller basic package plus big appearance bonuses due to worries over his fitness. Ateotd Hudds have a big enough pack that if he breaks down after a few games they can cover it. If he doesn't then they've got a good player. Bradford are short on props so we can't take a gamble on signing a injury prone one (we've already got one of those in Scruton ).
