Watching last nights match was like a who’s who of SL’s most irritating players.

It was nice to see a game of such intensity, but, Bentham couldn’t handle the occasion, there were some really cheap shots tonight, but they will go unpunished by the Red Hall Clown Co.

Would be dobson, hodgson perhaps, maybe gidley, brough must be in with a shout too.

Of course, reading this, you'd get the impression that the St Helens players were, to a man, angelic figures last night, the paragons of virtue.

Of course, we'll have to ignore Pryces deliberate act of deviance in the opening minutes (it's foul play, regardless of "dangerous" it is), Wellens' attempts to intimidate the referee in the first half and Wilkin's actions towards Senior (hey, an old pro like that doesn't lose his temper over nothing).

But yes, it is only big, bad, nasty Leeds that are the problem.

Anyway, it was good to see Paul Wellens at full pace last night as Graham was walking to the fans. He almost kept up with him.

Saints aren't angelic figures and will often get punished for misdemeanours. But none of those incidents mentioned by yourself are anywhere near as bad as examples such as the chicken wing tackle, Lee Smith's high shot or Brent Webb's grapple.



Kept up with Danny McGuire in a chase though.

Especially when you're already tackled.

I'd put Senior's 9 tries, 11 assists, together with his winger's 28 tries against any of those. Not denying they are cracking players at all.
