If he’s calling her a slut and a whore purely because she’s a woman then yes, it absolutely is sexist abuse.
If he’s calling her a slut and a whore because she’s slept with loads of his mates or for some other reason than she’s a woman, then it could be argued it’s not sexist.
Either way, it’s not acceptable. My money is in the first scenario though.

This is shocking behaviour unworthy of a hopeful Hull FC player. It is bringing the hopeful Hull FC brand into disrepute. If I was a hopeful Hull FC fan I would demand that Albert Kelly be immediately transferred to silly Salford or even lowly Leigh.

Firstly, I will reiterate, Kelly is bang out of order. No arguments.

What we don’t know is if anything was said ahead of the footage. My money is most definitely yes, given that someone felt the need to get a phone out to record it.

Has Kelly’s outburst purely driven that it’s a female who is serving, or would he have been a total tool if it had been a bloke.

Still, at a time there is drug cheats, drug users, people who have inflicted physical harm on others, Kelly’s is not the crime of the century and in fact not actually a crime. He has just made himself look a complete tool.

He’s used abusive language that is driven by the fact it’s a female who is serving him. The words ‘slut’ and ‘whore’ are most definately terms of sexist abuse.
He’s also threaten to assault her, which isn’t sexist.
There’s a difference between behaving like a tool and subjecting someone to sexist and derogatory abuse. His behaviour falls into the latter category in my view.
As to whether it’s a crime, I think that’s debatable too. Legally, assault is deemed to be when “a person performs an act by which they intentionally or recklessly causes another person to apprehend immediate unlawful violence”. I could easily argue that he assaulted her by saying he would “put her on the concrete”.
It’s also a criminal offence to use “threatening, abusive or insulting words within the hearing of someone likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress by them.” Again, I could argue that this is the case here.
So.... crime of the century? No. Potentially illegal? Yes.

Or maybe the crime deserves a greater punishment, say the remainder of his career at Calamitous Crappy Catalans or Laughably Limp London or even Tragically Turgid Toulouse ?
