Quote Lord Tony Smith="Lord Tony Smith"I usually agree with most things you say but you’re well off with your opinion of Charnley. He’s more than good enough. His try record is phenomenal and he’s been very good for us in his first season. He’d have scored 30 tries had he been next to a half decent centre. Fantastic winger.'"
Too easy to handle coming off his own line at international level for me and I came to that way of thinking in his time at Wigan, after initially thinking he was up to the task. He also blows too hot and cold IMO. When he’s on he’s brilliant at making things out of nothing but he starts to drift through games and seasons when he’s comfortable. I thought there were signs of that in this last season with Wire, after initially coming back in to the sport with a bang.
I hand on heart don’t think there’s a fit winger in the whole of super league up to the task of playing international rugby at the minute. I’d say Lineham is the closest in fairness to him but he’s still not quite there IMO.
