I did consider an alternative box, but unfortunately living in Hull we are saddled with one network supplier (Kcom) and very slow Internet.
So anything that relies on streaming just isn't an option, the supplier did suggest an IPTV solution, but until where in the 21st century it's satellite TV only.

I mentioned this before I find it truly incredible that you can watch any PL match everywhere in the world apart from the country in which it is played and you have to pay £40 for the privilege of not picking which game you want to watch.

I lived in the US for 3 years where every game of pro sport is available to watch through local, national or on demand services.

I only get sky sports for RL and NFL. So package based on those would suit me.

So people ditch sky for illegal streams, said company loses subscribers and decides to jettison sport they're not making any money from. Said sport returns to semi-pro status. Said sports players for leave. Said sport ceases to exist.

Streaming has been around for years and will continue to be around no matter what Sky do. Think how many times torrent sites like Pirate Bay have supposedly been closed down. As long as Sky keep on absolutely rinsing people price wise then people will look elsewhere, and there are some significantly cheaper alternatives which are a better product anyway!

Presumably you don't own a Bentley because you can't afford one (supposition on my part), but the same argument applies to those people who can't afford Sky's high subscription charges.

Sky "robbing" people, all comes down to the ridiculous deals that Football demand, the result being astronomical prices for everything else.
At least if they extract the football costs form other sport packages, they may be able to offer them at a reasonable rate.
As for illegal streaming, most people will have watched these without paying at some point but if everyone watched for free, Sky wouldn't be able to afford to sponsor certain sports and RL could be near the top of that list.
It's the same as getting into games without paying.
