But true. I can see it being a blood bath off the field. I hope extra police are called in to stop idiots from both fans starting trouble.

| The Sky game will be Fev v Cas. BBC are showing Widnes v Saints. Announced on RFL website
Looks like those calling for the Fev game to be shown have been heard. Not too sure the BBC have made the right choice. The game at Widnes could be very one sided.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

No it's being played back in the 80's when both sets of hooligans get back together.
I'll sit at home, thanks.

I don't know whether things work this way in broadcasting, but the BBC crew will be over this way anyway as it is the Grand National. In the new-look cost cutting BBC, they may have thought it expedient to opt for the Lancashire game?

| More likely some chinless producer thought it would be a hoot to have an opportunity for Davies & French to rabbit on about their times with their respective clubs.
We might even get to the point where Siadwell starts duffing up the pensioner on live TV

| I wonder how many Widnes and Saints fans also follow their local soccer teams. There was a mention last night on the radio that the Challenge Cup game happens to coincide with the FA Cup semi-final between Everton and Liverpool. Not much chance of seeing the rugby on a pub television anywhere in Merseyside. (I'm assuming the soccer is on Sky).

The soccer will be on either ITV or ESPN and you will be right about the chances of the rugby being shown in pubs if on at the same time, and not just in Merseyside. With the Grand National being on at the same time (it is usually at around 3:00-3:45 pm) as the first half of Fev v Cas as well there might not be many pubs showing that game either (Except around Fev and Cas). Better to stay at home and watch them if you aren't attending in both cases.
