For me, it was a knock on by Leeds and having then been held up it should have been a Wigan play-the-ball 10 metres out.

At 4 - 0 Wigan should have gone for the try instead of another 2pts.
6 - 0 is still just one score ahead and as such isn't much more of an advantage.
After a tough 35 minutes Wigan should have tested the Leeds defence, had they scored it would be 8 or 10 - 0 and in these conditions that's a lot to make up against a quality team like Wigan.
