IN NEED OF A HOME - 1 CENTRE, HARDLY USED.

Not that anyone of the desired consequence would be reading this post, but I would urge any clubs in need of a centre to look closely at Tom Armstrong, who's OCC at Saints at the end of the season.

Last year Tom scored around 20 tries in 15 appearences for Saints U20s. This year he started the season on loan at Leigh, where he was very well received and scored the winning try in their cup final appearence.

Tom's appearences for Saints this year have been limited by him being behind Foster and Makinson in the pecking order and with him being OOC this year, the news that Ade Gardner has resigned for another year makes it look like he's on the way out of St Helens. He did sign off with a hat trick against QUins at the weekend in what could possibly be his last performance for Saints.

He's a very promising british back who will come reasonably cheap. Sureley someone will have a place for him in their squad for next year?

I would love to have Danny Ward at York next year. We need a few experienced heads.

Mellor will hopefully be there or thereabouts, dont think Logan will ever make the first team regularly. McIllorum is still likely to be about though, and no way will Lockers be a permanent 6.

That was Gary Wheeler. He is VERY talented, but can't stay fit. You're right, he was our MOM by a mile I thought.

Would be one of the best players in SL if we could get him on the park, be it in the centres or at 6.

As an aside - Saints had 14 of the 17 coming through the academy at the weekend (plus Jon Wilkin played academy at Saints too but came through at Hull KR). Some good young players knocking about in SL these days.

No overseas players either (if you include Nathan Ashe who came over from NZ as a kid and plays full back for our reserves).
