| So hang on. Bennet has selected Aussies, and GB still lose two out of two? Might as well play actual Britons!

| I don’t even know where to start after watching that. Dull as dishwater, players under instructions to keep it the most simple as is possible. We need a rethink after this series and a change of coach and philosophy.

32137_1302980312.jpg Fat blokes in the mud, flat caps, bogs that drain pi55 directly onto your boots - Now it's all 'Big Ask', 'Arm Wrestle', 'Collision' 'Contact' 'Facials' 'Upper Body Strength' 'Big Units' 'Scooting from Dummy Half' 'Energy Levels' 'Laying the Platform' ‘Middles’ and 'T-R-Y'. Let’s not forget resilience.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32137.jpg |

This final is turgid so far.

| Truly pathetic. The amount of times Hodgson turned the ball over on the last, or brought it back down the short side on the last with no room to move is astonishing.
And Graham, as good as he is, needs to get out of the way. He’s trying to play halfback when we’re on the front foot, just give it to Hastings and stop the stupid little prop pass thing.
Positives, Lomax was lively and made space. Walmsley made an impact again and Clark did ok in a short time on the field. Beyond that, utterly forgettable. Until the break in the last 15 minutes from Hastings, I couldn’t recall numbers 3,4,6,7,9 (the so called creative players) having a positive impact on the match.
I think we need to get Hardaker on the ball more. But I think he might have to move to the wing to cover Hall. Which means a back rower in the centres again.
It really is pathetic that we had 3 half backs and an out-and-out full back on the field and Coote, Williams and Austin in the stands, yet nobody to replace the backs.
Bennett needs to go, we’ve not been a successful team for a long time, but under his stewardship we’re now boring and unsuccessful. These boring tactics of chasing 100% completion only work if you win.
This GB tour has been a monumental failure, from start to finish. Planning it for when the RU WC is on was stupid, the squad caused more controversy than excitement, the coach set a boring game plan and the team have failed to make that plan successful. All we need now is a tour scandal to complete the RL bingo card

| The hype around re forming the Lions was definitely overplayed.
Hodgson at 9, regardless of how he's played in the NRL, offers nothing compared to Clark
and screwing up a 4 on 2 overlap when McGilvery lost the ball was mickey poor.
We seem to play without any flair and ambition at international level and it's almost as boring as the Union and boy, is that game dull.
We seem so obsessed with power over speed and whilst the players all need to be able to defend, we have to ask way more questions with ball in hand.

| Going forward, we need Clark to start at 9. He offers so much more than Hodgson. Hodgson has to have the worst distribution of any 9 I’ve ever seen.
Williams and Austin at half back please. It’s plain to see that Widdop is shot and if I were a Warrington fan I’d be gutted that they have signed him

| Pretty much with the Hodgson criticism.
Its not just in this series its in other games that he has played. He just seems to kill the halfbacks play options as he holds onto the ball rather than gets it straight out to the halves. When he does pass, to a forward its just someone running close to the ruck. Its obviously Bennets tactics but makes for very predictable play.
I also think Ryan Hall is well past it. He has been an all time great international winger. However every dog has his day, and now he is just slow and ponderous. For me if he is to continue playing he needs to move into playing at prop at club level. With news that he has dislocated his knee. I think he needs to seriously consider retiring from the sport. He is 32 in a few weeks time which is pretty old for a winger.

| Quote: MPhil12 "Definitely, the difference when he came on was noticeable to say the least and is every time Hodgson comes off. I don’t watch NRL anywhere near as much as SL but I don’t understand how Hodgson is so highly rated there. I’m guessing it must be that his inability to pass the ball further than the man stood next to him suits their conservative style. Agree with Lomax and Hastings in the halves as well but I’m not sure on Widdop, after that horror show I’d consider bringing Coote back even if he was poor against Tonga.'"
Because at club level some players just thrive in certain teams. That’s the difference between a great club man (Hodgeson) and an international (Whitehead). Both at Canberra but only one is a GB Player.
All clubs have players who the fans adore but are not international class yet are indispensable to there club.
Bennet should know that but clearly picks on reputation theseday because frankly I don’t think he really cares that much.
