| Would love to see Featherstone win this. As an 8 year old watching my first Hull match one of my favourite players was fullback Freddie Miller and I was so sad to see him leave for Featherstone a few years later. In 1952 I watched him play in their first ever Challenge Cup final losing to Gus Risman's Workington.
Freddie was later inducted into their Hall of Fame.
The match is on TV here in Aus.

My club has to travel to Australia last year. I couldn't afford it, so I didn't go. I didn't complain about it. I'm actually grateful that a have the chance to go to these places following my club.
You don't have to go to every game. Variety is great. The league cannot run by staying close enough to your home club to allow everyone to go to every game. It's a literal example of small time.'"
I agree with you, up to a point.
As one off fixtures, there is something exciting about having something new to experience and if Toronto make it into SL, I will go over there for the first game between Toronto v Trinity.
Having been over there before, I know that Toronto is indeed a fine city and well worth a visit but, it's not a realistic option for the vast majority of RL supporters and if we go back a few pages, where I suggested that IF there was a "grand plan" to have say 4 N. American clubs, plus 2 French clubs in a 12 club SL, the game over here would be destroyed.
There does need to be more consideration given to the fans, unless of course, we are attending RL matches just to "pretty up" the terraces and if that's the case, Sky may as well use CGI.
If too many games become out of reach for the regular fans, necessarily, they will find something else to do on a Sunday afternoon (or whichever day is the norn), which will mean further erosion of already shrinking crowds.
It's hard enough now with ever changing fixture dates, to commit to all home games, although it's also noticeable that this doesnt affect fans of Catalan, Toulouse or Toronto.
The actual fans used to be the lifeblood of the sport but, we become ever more marginalised.
Anyway, let's hope that Fev can gain the win an then the problem remains something for the Championship supporters to suffer

TBH - As much as i wish Fev all the best, especially for doing so well in the play offs , I just want to see Toronto in SL just to see how it all transpires. If it does go well, then great, you can keep em.

No fans = no game.
I've held a season ticket for years and made the fewest home matches last season because of the constant changing of fixtures, especially to mid-week.
With so many domestic clubs having their fixtures on a Friday (when the match is not televised) has ruled me out of attending lots of away fixtures too. I love my club but can't make most of the fixtures even though I'd love to go.
I've never been to Catalans, too difficult for me to get to in my circumstances. Would I go to Toronto? Very difficult to co-ordinate and afford.
The game is ultimately about the fans. It is not about clubs relying on away fans, it is about fans being able to follow their team. The way fixtures and locations are going in recent decades is really pushing the limits of what many of us can do. The less games you can make then the more risk there is of people stopping going altogether.
Short term v long term view.
As someone said the French and Canadian teams don't seem to have their home fixtures messed around much do they? Makes it easier for them to build up a returning supporter base.

Now now Wrenners, it's your turn to have them
I've said so many times already that, both Toronto and Toulouse should have been "promoted" when we had the last restructuring, as you say, to see if it works.
Clearly, there was no appetite for this from the SL clubs, the governing body and most importantly from Sky and given that Toronto, apparently, are not going to take a slice of the Sky cake, it's just bewildering that as a sport, we didn't use the opportunity.
This not only would have allowed everyone to "test the water" but, also got rid of the ridiculous loop fixtures and if Sky were not willing to add 1/13th extra funding the, despite all the "increased investment and sponsorship opportunities" that we've been told about since Toronto "joined the party", it seems thet NOBODY actually believes this to be the case.
If the game had done this and the inclusion of these sides was something of a success then, it may have pave the way for other sides to join and if it had fallen on it's booty then, we could have reverted to 12 clubs or, replaced Toronto with Fev and Leigh in the top flight

| Toronto and always Toronto.
We will probably go to 14 teams from 2022 too meaning whoever goes down next season will probably find a quick route back anyway.
