Quote ThePrinter="ThePrinter"According to that article he isn’t the only person at Wakefield getting involved inquiring about it. Whilst he’s been given a job to see how the RFL spend their money that doesn’t naturally equate to inquiring about Odsal’s availability for Wakefield’s use in 2017.
That article says Wakey originally wanted to use Odsal in 2017, not buy it which came this year, so talk of making sure “fair offers” from the RFL come up don’t add up completely.'"

I'm not sure why you think it doesn't as up. In 2017 we were getting messed around by the grounds new owners 88m, so Trinity's owners obviously got in touch with local teams like Bradford, Featherstone and Dewsbury which were the preferred ground if it came to it. But in the end, everything worked itself out.
Over a year after that, Carter was given by the other SL chairman the job to look into how and where the RFL have spent money and whether SL clubs were getting value for it. I'm not sure what doesn't add up tbh.
the article even says -
Quote ThePrinter Pretty soon after that I received enquiries from more than one Wakefield board member asking whether they could use the stadium in 2017.
They apparently do not own their own ground and wanted to put pressure on their own council to progress with an apparently promised, but long overdue, stadium actually in Wakefield. Nothing came of the discussion. '"
nothing more is mentioned apart from what Chalmers has heard in news reports.
So long story short, a couple of board members got in touch about the use of the ground in 2017, came to nothing because it's an obvious non-starter. Then in 2018 MC is doing his job looking into RFL affairs for SL owners.
Looks like you're looking for something that isn't there Printer. As I mentioned earlier, one of the main points being owners of clubs can't have vested interests in other clubs anyway - so really should put an end to it.
