| I can't see Toronto paying for away travel going on for too long, if they even do.

You must have been asleep last week. Catalans beat Leeds last week.

| I would be delighted to see Leigh and Featherstone promoted. Two great names of rugby league.
They'd add a lot to the elite league and leave the self-loathing northerners frothing at the mouth. Win Win!

| Well according to players who have actually been to Canada, (Barrow more than most)although the city is fantastic and a great place to visit the "Hostel" the players are being put up in is disgusting.
You wonder why opposition players wont go back.

Yes, they do at the moment.
Do you think that it is an endless deal, with no end time or, do you think that they may want to renegotiate it at some point ?
Toronto also provide accommodation but, its akin to a school dormitory, not exactly what a top sportsman would expect.
Further hidden costs of having North American clubs in SL.
I'd like the N. American adventure to work but, regardless of their own success, their inclusion is costing the rest of the sport serious money and although, in the lower leagues, they have boosted some attendances, this may not be the case in SL

But surely when it comes to renegotiating a deal with there sponsors, if they are in SL they will be in a stronger position - media exposure etc? Therefore, why would they get less than they are currently?

Work it out yourself.
Even if they pay for flights and accommodation, there is still plenty of cost for visiting clubs.
Try visiting Toronto for 2/3 days, it's a fantastic city but, it certainly isnt cheap, especially compared to Fev or Leigh
