The salary cap means you can’t simply buy your way to the title at the top level. Look at the teams that have competed in the grand finals over the years, they all excel in producing players through their academies.

It’s happened many times, various clubs have had points deducted for breaching the salary cap, Melbourne have had titles stripped. Apparently the cap is now live and it’s not possible to go over.

That any club who break the salary cap in any way should be severely punished. I think the punishments in the past weren’t harsh enough.

I’d be surprised if there is. Clubs that are successful are often accused of breaking the salary cap, usually without anything to back it up.

The point was that it’s a silly argument to accuse Toronto of trying to “buy success” as if it’s a bad thing. Every club does so. Paying your players is buying success.

Too many presumptions, nowhere have I mentioned bravery, I am merely responding to your boast that Canadian forces ‘saved our butts’, which disrespects all the other nations who contributed to the allied victory.

As I said a few pages back, a quick look through their squad is enough to know they’re not spending £1.9m on that squad, considering only a few top end SL squads are doing so.

TWP are taking RL to a new audience and brining money into the game. For year 2, that’s enough for me.

I felt a couple of players would be sufficient, but I'm pretty sure all the members of champion squad over the SL years have been full paid professionals.

Is your point that success abd expansion only counts if your squad consists of x number of players born within town/City boundaries.

If that is the rule we will need to start stripping some clubs of titles they have won.
