| People on here and other social media blaming it on Warrington and the referee and saying he was poor.
They must be trolling, they can't be that daft.

| At least Mr multiple account holder can keep his Toronto c0ck in his pants this week. Rowley's bar room brawlers are a joke.

| Toronto were excellent 1st half....and then ended up being a disgrace to the proud history of Canadian RL !
What do you reckon Sir Kevin, King James and Jean....can't quite hear you.

I know you are only looking for an OTT reaction, but we only had a reputation as a 'dirty side' when Rowley was our coach. Do you understand love ?

| Irrespective of all the shenanigans, why would Dixon want to get himself sent off?
Everyone knows it's an automatic red, presumably everyone except Dixon.

| This game and the Fev v Hull game from Thurs have shown an ugly side to RL, but the difference is that Fev had lost the game before it became a mess. Toronto were competing and looking good for the lead and then threw it away, where as Warrington kept their heads unlike Hull.
Makes me wonder if they can compete in the Middle 8s if they feel they need to resort to these sort of tactics

I think the referee was poor not because he took a tough line on Toronto but because he failed to do the same with Warrington. He gave loads of warnings to both sides about dirty tactics but only one of them got hammered with cards. If ref's gonna be tough, fine, but stick to it for both sides. It became a bit of a vicious circle, he wasn't consistent when it came to following up, that got the Toronto players upset because the refereeing wasn't on the level, and they failed to hold their discipline which made it worse. I blame Toronto players for that. But I also blame the referee for his lack of discipline following up with both sides. If he'd played it straight we'd probably have had a less one sided game. Now fair credit to Warrington, they had the smarts to manage the referee and that probably lead to some of the inconsistency, but that does not do the referee any credit.
This is part of the reason RL lacks credibility, there's no consistency.

Because Warrington weren't embarrassingly ill disciplined like Toronto.

In which case why did he did repeatedly threaten to do something about their ill discipline (the running in and niggling etc)? If it didn't exist he didn't have cause to warn on it,and if he had no reason to follow up why repeatedly threaten to do so without actually making good? This entire line of reasoning is inconsistent!
Perhaps RL should rebrand itself as the sport for the post truth age? The only thing that's consistent is the inconsistency.

Very true they knew where to push the line. Give a bit of niggle in the tackle then play the innocent when it's out in the open. But most of all keep your mouth shut and say yes sir to the ref. You can get away with alot more if you don't lose your head and always remember to respect the ref. Toronto lost the basic rule that the ref is always right. Even when he is wrong he is right.

He didn't repeatedly threaten them though did he. There was the handbags after Wire's first try whitch were caused by Toronto in the first place, embarrassing when their player claimed he was bitten but conveniently didn't want to make a formal complaint.

All this Paul Rowley stuff is rubbish, I can understand that under certain coaches teams may be told to be more aggressive and lay on longer and that can result in more penalties given away but blaming Paul Rowley for his players lack of control is absurd. I highly doubt he told Dixon to punch Livett, Kay to make that tackle, McCrone and Lussick to backchat etc. It all started with Ashton Sims, that fired the players up and Toronto lost control, starting to give away silly penalties. But there’s no doubt they felt aggrieved by the referee. They got nothing all game and if Dixon is sent off then how is Goodwin not at least in the bin. I’m personally not even sure Dixon’s punch was bad enough for a sending off and Goodwins neck throw was almost as bad. Sin binning players also isn’t going to calm it down and gain their respect. Paul Rowley had nothing to do with his teams poor discipline and lack of control.

He started being lenient with both teams starting early with not taking action on Sims’. He could have blown the whistle more often but tried to keep the game flowing. He gave warnings to both teams, Warrington listened while Toronto didn’t and paid the consequences.
Kay was clumsy, Dixon was stupid and the captain, who should know better, was arrogant.
You can make as many excuses and diversions as you can think of but Toronto got what their indiscipline deserved.
