Just as everyone said before the game get hodgeson off and bateman done nothing to justify being ahead of percival. And as all tournament the performance absolutely does matter not just the result

Agree with comments about the amount of errors. Most of which is just about simple rugby. Also think we're allowing PNG alot of cheap yards.

Burgess doing okay, no one really standing out. Also we go right, score twice, why have we stopped going that way.

Gotta start second half with Roby. Hodgsons a liability. Bateman in the centres still not working, and I’m still waiting for Gale to start playing, but in his defence the dummy half distribution has been rubbish. Roby should give him better ball. Won’t get away with all these errors against anyone else, completion rate is terrible.

The Watkins catch and pass gets better everytime you see it. Proper centre play.

100% agree. Watkins is a class centre, we just need another one on the left

The two main issues everyone is picking out before each game is Bateman centre and Hodgson at hooker and they've again been weak points for us.

Hodgson kicks a good 40/20 and passes a couple off the floor that lead to try's but then he starts over playing and he was an absolute mess in the last twenty minutes of the half.

As for Bateman, he's again made plenty of ground but he isn't a centre. In fairness to him Gale blew an early try for him and Hall dropped a sitter when Bateman did pass. He's doing what he does well Bateman but he should be doing that in the back row.

Widdop had both feet in the air trying to hack the ball into touch.
He was going over anyway.
Like I said, just as well the Kumul fingertipped him.
