| Quote: Hessle rover "Absolutely looking forward to next season gubrats. But as R.B.A has already said, hopefully just this season in this division.
Leigh have shown what it takes to get out of this league, so their model of last year is going to be ours, so it seems.
Looking at our season ticket sales and increased sponsorship it seems will be close to the cap next year, and with a fair bit of cap and overseas spots available for the Middle 8's (hopefully), Tim could eventually add some very good players to add to a fairly decent squad to make a strong push for promotion.
It's intriguing next year, many voices were heard from Leigh fans regarding the possibility then reality of promotion this year, but already it seems that we are not as much of a threat next year already from some fans. My take on it is that our obscurity to shout about our possibilities of getting back to superleague will suit us down to the ground. If there is one year to avoid the middle 8's, then it's next year.
But in the meantime, I can't wait for the beginning of the season.'"
But surely being in the middle eight is the pathway back to Superleague. I don't understand your reasoning.

| That was aimed at the bottom four superleague sides.

It took Leigh 3 years of hard work and a year of complete failure in the 8's to gain promotion, the previous 2 clubs who dropped from SL in 2014 have both struggled to get close to promotion again (Bradford in the MPG being the closest). Hull KR will have a tough enough job even making it into the top 4 in the championship, let alone worrying the 4 SL clubs who they will come up against. The championship isn't going to be the walk in the park you think it will be, Leigh knew how to play it because they had been there, you haven't

They will 10000000% be in the top four.

Just like Bradford would be in the top 4 of the championship in 2016, and Leeds and Hudds would be in the top 8 of SL in 2016?
Nothing is a given in this sport, to assume a club is anywhere near safe before a ball is thrown is naïve at best. The championship has some tough clubs in it and HKR aren't going to find it as easy as many suspect.

I'm sure this thread is about season ticket sales, still if it makes you feel better to stick the boot into us at every opportunity then feel free.

No one at the club are expecting an easy ride. It's going into the unknown. But the club are expecting top two next year. After all, most of the squad are superleague standard .
You and others think differently and that's fine by me. The closer Rovers can fly under the radar then that's all good for the club.

It's ok I just wonder why people have to have a go at us at any given chance, also it's funny how we have a lack of investment when we have just had six points deducted for spending to much, apparently the only club who spent to much, no really you couldn't make it up.
As for the on topic bit, I have no clue how many Salford have sold but just to make some people feel better probably not many !!

| Do sale sell out their games at the place they share with Salford. I think their first season there, they had decent gates. I wonder if their attendances have improved even more with Wigan fans turning up to watch Charnley.

I fully expect KR will be Championship top 2 in 2017
(Which is great for the extra home game)
Nearly 'all' the squad need to be SL standard & those who aren't, at least top Championship quality.
Flying under the radar is difficult if you are winning nearly all your games, some Leigh fans got a bit too cocky in 2015, maybe a few at the Club did too but Neil Jukes fixed that up.
The problem with 2017 for KR will be that everyone knows about the 2015 Q8's & how easy it is to lose your SL spot, therefore I reckon all SL Clubs will be better prepared.
For my money, I see a Widnes or Salford v KR MPG.

No one lost their SL status in the 2015 qualifiers.

All good points. The Leigh of 2016 is definitely the model to follow.
A few things can go for you and against you during the season. Kr had sick notes all over the squad last year on massive contracts giving back zero value, and with no movement with the salary cap, we were stuck with a team effectively worth only half the cap. All the while with all the middle 8 teams snapping up some quality players.
It would be prudent for the likes of Salford, Widnes, Leigh's (no offence) of this world not blowing all their cap before the start of the season, that's what effectively brought us down.
Anyways, this is a thread of season ticket sales. How's everyone doing?
