and there is a golf round up show, a boxing magazine show and a show from years ago that's been repeated, but no place for a live game? surely Sky sports subscribers would welcome a live game of any sport?

They have even amended their schedule to show an interview with Mo Farah on Sky Sports 2 at 9:30 which is being simulcast on Sky Sports News. But a live match from one of their most popular and dependable sports? Nah, stick it online.

Looking forward to next season when we get 1 live match a week and the rest are shunted to 'Sky Sports Xtra' where nobody can see them.

Even looking at it from Sky's perspective I don't see the logic behind this online only match. Surely they want viewing figures to get more money from advertisers, and surely a live match would get more viewers than a repeat of something.

They are using this game to trial a new camera set-up apparently, it will potentially affect the quality of the coverage so presuming that's the main reason it isn't being broadcast 'live.'

These games aren't in the original Sky contract anyway so treat them as what they are, a bonus.

Quite clearly a lie from Sky Sports, because they're using the exact same camera set up as Hull KR TV, who do the HKR club dvd's.

More likely they are testing the streaming technology rather than the camera setup. No doubt that TV is heading to all online streaming eventually And they have to test out the technology on some guinea pigs.

Unfortunately the way they wanted you to access the game (skysports.com/xtra) just didnt work for me at all. kept telling me i was in private mode, and if not to allow some access (which i did).

thankfully the regular sky go was working and i found it on channel 499 on that (by luck).

all in all i think its a brilliant idea, especially if it allows for extra bonus content. wouldn't mind a Sunday game on xtra if it can be agreed.
