Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Rugby League Club used the stadium for their first game in the Super League in 1998.
Wasn't this because to "prove" they were SL material they had to play at a better ground with better facilities so they chose Oakwell, but somehow managed to get round having to playing there again.
Oh yes a true "urban myth" but one based on reality.

No they didn't. First home game was against Salford at BV. First Sky home game was at Oakwell. Jog on fella. |

Where in that link does it state we played our first SL game at Oakwell?
Nope, its still not there.
We weren't even in SL in 1998, as stated by leaguefan.
