Your maths seems a little off. Not quite half of 60 would put you as late 20s. If born in the seventies you would be at least 34 (if born Oct-Dec 1979) and due to be 35 soon. You could be as old as 44. Whatever year you were born in the seventies you are more than halfway to 60.
The 60 years remark quite obviously refers to championship wins as it will be at least that long between your last and next championship win.

Your right yossarian. Most of our fans have only started watching since 2009.........
...apart from a sizable portion and generations thereafter of the 102000 record crowd in 1954.

| The most satisfying part of Wigan being the most dominant force in British Rugby League is the abject misery it causes the fans of all the other clubs out there. It's so delightful to experience.
Our coach is an ape...an ape who has won 3 trophies in 2 seasons and on course to win a fourth. An ape who presided over the Wigan junior and senior academy for 6 years between 2003 and 2009. Seeing the resurgence of Wigan as the dominant force in Academy rugby league, his legacy continues on with Wigan having won 7 of the last 8 Academy grand final, yet he is a poor coach, and a shaved ape.
I'll take our ape over any coach in world rugby league. Long may Wigan's dominance of the British game continue.

I think that dominance at junior levels shouldn't be underestimated when considering what a good coach Wane is. He's not only had success at first team level but has been churning out trophies at junior level for years and has been the major factor in Wigans conveyor belt of talent. The young players trust and respect him immensely and would run through brick walls for him. He gave Tomkins a chance in the juniors years ago when others said he was too small, he's helped develop lads like Charnley, Mossop, Farrell and McIlorum and I'm convinced their first team careers wouldn't have been anywhere near as good without him.
He's benefitted from Michael Maguires structures without question but a poor coach wouldn't keep churning out success whilst losing half his squad. He lost the likes of Leuluai, Finch Hock and Carmont at the end of 2012 and lead us to a double the following year. He then lost his best and the leagues best player in Sam Tomkins, Pat Richards, Lee Mossop and Harrison Hansen at the end of 2013 yet has guided his team to another grand final appearance.
A few F's here and there on a Sky documentary and the odd misguided comment in interviews can't mask what he's achieved and will continue to achieve. He's an outstanding coach.

What is this 'dominance' you speak of? You've not exactly been sweeping the board of late have you?

Magnanimous of you to 'delight' in 'abject misery'. There's a belting career awaiting you in US super-max prisons.

Nah we only won 2 of 3 trophies last year and on course for another this year. You be happy with your lower league mediocrity, and hate Wigan for being the big bad bullies running roughshod over Rugby League.
When was Rover's last trophy, by the way? Was it shown in black and white?

And there was me foolishly thinking that Wigan were an excellent RL team with knowledgeable supporters, when all along they have been '[ibig bad bullies running roughshod over Rugby League[/i' according to our hubristic source.

| All this questioning of Wane's abilities as a coach is unfair. So is the accusation that he looks like some sort of ape - If you visit Wigan on any given day and wander around their town centre or local Asda, you will all see for yourself that the Neanderthal look that Wane has is absolutely normal around those parts.
Its like picking on an individual Chinese person for have slanty eyes....
