Wash your mouth out with soapy water! Tis in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Yorkshire is a county. The East Riding is a part of that county.

| Anyway back to the OP. I didn't see any 20 page threads on Danny McGuire landing knees first on Theo Fages' back after the Salford Man scored his try on Friday
Not saying it was intentional but it looked a lot easier to jump over him than land on him to me. Either way there aren't pages of people debating it
But, of course, that doesn't help the 'everyone hates my club' paranoia of some fans

| Quote: Fully "Which is why the police are called Humberside Police '"
At the risk of prolonging this, they are only still called Humberside Police because the then Chief Constable and Police Authority took the view that spending thousands of pounds of public money to rebrand across the entire force area was a waste, and that the money would be better spent elsewhere. Nothing to do with whether Humberside remained in existence or not.

I bet you wish Bradford Bulls management had been as pedantic as this when it comes to their company administration.
I'll explain BBC Radio Humberside, providing you give me a reason there is a County Cricket club which represents Middlesex

| When I saw that this thread had gone to 7 pages, I thought "maybe people are taking the knee incident seriously." Turns out people have decided to discuss whether Humberside is a place! Oh joy!
To put it to bed, Humberside is a geographic description of the area by the side of the Humber. It's incredibly unpopular with the people in that area, hence its abolishment, and anyone using it to describe the area usually does so knowing it annoys the locals. Says more about the person using it than the area being described.
East Riding of Yorkshire. Everyone's happy then.

| Punching someone = no ban
Headbutting someone = 2 games
Grab someone by the throat = not even cited
"recklessly" (i.e. we don't know if he actually meant it) knee someone = 2-3 games
Can't beat RFL logic, that's for sure!
On the other hand, would actually benefit Cas if he misses the semi final (if Mariano & Millington are fit, that is) because his brain farts have cost Cas wins already this season and you don't want him to do it again in a semi final.

When you put those decisions in the context they're all at least reasonable.
We'll leave the grabbing someone part out because it's not the playground at an all girls school.
Punching someone after he swung his arm and then stuck his head into your head. Sin binned at the time and a player with an excellent disciplinary record. - Seems fairly reasonable to me.
Head butting someone. Not sure why it'd be treated be more harshly than kneeing someone in the head? But all sane people acknowledgement it was a pretty light headbutt and was highly unlikely to cause injury. Player was sent off, submitted an early guilty plea and had a spotless disciplinary record. - Seems reasonable to me and most other sane people.
So if Hauraki gets 2 games, it's hardly an anti-Cas conspiracy or raving inequity in the disciplinary system.
Personally I don't think he should be banned, I thought it was accidental, non-malicious and is the sort of thing that happens in a tackle. But then I thought that about Sinfield's too.
So in the context of the Sinfield decision, 2-3 games would seem about right.

I think you've got to look at each incident in more detail than your black and white descriptions to reach a fair conclusion.
Whether he meant it or not, it was dangerous and caused an opponent to leave on stretcher, unlike the other ones you mention.

| Back on topic, a two match ban is coming I reckon.
Careless born out of frustration out of terrible policing all game of the play the ball by Child imo.
Had Weller moved to the side of Abdull for the play the ball Child would have probably penalised him for moving off the mark
The sooner there is two refs on the field the better.
(Ps on a side note does anybody else hate it when coaches, media etc say ruck instead of play the ball?...why use a Union term? )

He didn't penalise Dorn when he did it in the 1st half for the Shenton try

It's a league term too, it wasn't that long ago each play the ball could be contested and so was a ruck. Just a ruck that contained a limited amount of players (and obviously unlimited going further back).
Also the term has come to be used to describe the whole area around the play the ball rather than just the act of the play the ball if you see what I mean.
