why would you buy a season ticket to cover 22 games, when whether you are promoted or not depends on an entirely seperate 7 game competition, where the results from the 22 games you are trying to sell are entirely nullified?

Getting promoted or relegated will be like the football playoffs, but the league is still important!

You could pay expecting to see the likes of Saints, Wigan & Leeds, and end up playing Sheffield, Featherstone & Leigh. The majority of fans will keep their season pass money and pay on the day, and soon as a club hits a bit of poor form, or a game is on TV crowds will dip.

The team that finishes 9th are not relegated are they. They are in a playoff to determined there SL status and like I said if they finish 9th they should e good enough to remain in SL.

Yes, so finishing 9th is absolutely pointless. There is literally no difference to finishing 9th as opposed to finishing 12th. There is no difference between scoring 20points and finishing 9th missing out on the play-offs on points difference, than scoring 0 points and finishing 12th.

And if a team finishing 9th should be comfortably good enough to stay in SL anyway, why are they playing in this 7 game play-off?

maybe in football supporters of teams like Aston Villa in the premier should just pack in supporting them, because they are in mid table, may as well just pack the team in whats the point in playing 38 dead games

no one knows the results of games before the season starts, they always should always be top 8. Like in alsports they are not dead games until they have ultimately failed to reach their goals

so does this come into effect in the 2015 season? Lets see if these championship clubs now just sign a lot of overseas players and if there crowds actually increase. They don't or not enough for the challenge cup.
