I think the truth is that he lives, or used to live, on the outskirts of the town - This has often lead to accusations of favouritism towards Wire - I actually think the truth is that he is a halfwit, who knows little about the sport and has been winging it for far too long.
Tonight's commentary was embarrassing.... A bit of favouritism can be expected during an international match, but such biased stuff in a play off game is just wrong and made the whole thing sound cheap and amateur.... The crying Hemmings after the Grix try is classic TV for those who like to take the p!$s out of our sport. |

The reason RL has been moved to Thursday is because of the way the premier league sell their packages, the reason there isn't a big build up and after game wrap up is that there is only a certain amount of RL contracted to be shown. The Thursday game gas replaced the Saturday game which has had a pretty much identical format for a number of years.
By all means pretend this is a new thing and some doom filled portent if that's your bag though
