| Quote: hi de hi "My heart bleeds for you. You lose one game off your season ticket, we lose our club. Thanks for your concern.'"
I haven't even got a season ticket.......i was asking a hypothetical question which could have been about any club who will be hostingBradford at home. This could be a Salford or Wakefield who need the money as a club to have that game played. Maybe they dont and they are fine money wise but teams will have budgeted for 13 home games and may miss out on the matchday income that they would have got, like me who would have turned up at the HJ and bought a ticket, drinks etc.
It is about what wider impact this could have for the remainder of the season. I have already posted about how sorry i was to have heard the news on your own board earlier today.

But what would happen to the Extra game that Leeds played against them? Would the result stand or would Leeds play one less game then the rest of SL?

So unless the new owner (If there is one) is willing to settle that debt then I can't see a deal being made.
I could be wrong here but I believe Wakey didn't own money to the tax man.
If true then that one thing makes it a different kettle of fish IMHO.'"
I'm sure they did .

Good call forgot about MM I'd guess that would have to stand as there would be no real option to do anything else.

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

| Quote: mikej "Firstly administration is an attempt to find a way for the club to continue. IF IF IF this fails New Co set-up. New Co acquires the assets of old co (after the big boys have had their "meal"icon_wink.gif. New Co end up with some players it owns, some players on loan to the end of the season and the name but most importantly none of the debts. New Co then agrees with the RFL (with the support of SKY ......oh and Im sure they will ask the other teams as well) to step into the void to fulfil a temporary vacancy within the superleague structure and fulfil the remaining fixtures of old co.
End of season applications made by all relevant parties to fulfill the vacancy based on normal SL application criteria......Prediction Halifax promoted in place of "Bradford 2012".
As for the rules allowing it, dont know the specific regulations but in previous season it has been stated that "provisions are available should a team find it impossible to fulfil its fixtures"'"
If the administrator can't find a buyer, then a liquidator would have to be appointed at which all contracts of employment, from players down to the woman who does the boardroom teas on matchdays, are void. As Roy Close discovered in 1984 when he found that he'd coughed up £25k for some goalposts and a couple of hampers of kit from the original Fulham club's liquidator after Ronnie Teeman at Bramley, who'd been in similar strife earlier, had said that he'd get the players as well (atmosphere a tad frosty in the boardroom when we next played them!).

How about a phoenixed Bradford Northern Bulls RLFC? You should obviously be booted out of Super League, but should be able to join NL2, so it's not like there isn't a road back.'"
NL2? Do you mean CC1? It's good to see SL fans up to speed with whats going on in the dead zone.

| Quote: LifeLongHKRFan "So if the Bulls find an investor and survive, when would they get their points deduction? This season or next season? The reason i'm asking is that currently there is a 6 point gap between 9th and 10th and if they received the deduction this season or went out of business, you could almost say that the top eight is sorted for this year. There would have to be one hell of a run of good or bad form from in and out of the play off positions for it to change and would make a lot of the games pointless contests.'"
Maybe they will do a Wigan and 'tell' the RFL what is acceptable to them.

Pints deductions in a closed shop league are irrelevant, you could take 10,000 points off them and it would have zero effect. The only thing that will hit hard is relegation.

But would the RFL regulations allow a NewCo to step into the shoes of the old mid-season?'"
The RFL will let us know what the regulations are after they make the decision they want.

| Quote: Panda92 "They'd have to remove all fixtures against Bradford plus all Magic Weekend fixtures in order to smooth things over fixture-wise, otherwise, as you say, Leeds would have 1 game less than everyone else.'"
I can't see them undermining the Magic Weekend by making this season's event meaningless. Who can guarantee that another club will not go bust next year? And all the clubs that won their games will kick up an almighty fuss.
The sensible thing would have been to have announced before the MW (when the Bulls problems were well known) that the result from that game would stand as far as Leeds are concerned.

Then you are going to have a team just 'given' 2 points as there is no opposition as far as the league is concerned.

No. OTOH you do have a hugely subsidised team. HTH.

Cant see another way round it. And 7 of the remaining 13 clubs won 2 points that weekend that they will be loath to surrender

| Quote: The Devil's Advocate "Even though Bradford fans refuse to admit it, there are many similarities with regards to Wakefields demise last year. However, when Andrew Glover bought the club the season tickets were honoured, probably because there were so few!
The challenge for a new administration will be to get some cash through the turnsyles for the rest of the season. If I was to own the club, I would make all season tickets null & void, and make people pay £20 at the gate, surely the fans would still come, what alternative have they got?'"
That would have worked if the fans (including admittedly many non Bradford fans) hadnt just forked out an extra £500k. Not sure how many will put their hands in their pockets a 2nd time
