Anyone defending Westwood must be trolling, right?
It's a deliberate attack to the head of a player who was being held by two opponents. It's either a grade C or D for deliberately striking, or D to F for a deliberate stiff arm to the head with no intention to make a legitimate tackle.
Either way he should be looking at 3 games as the very minimum.

Why is Westwood picked on so much on these forums. Nobody has said it but i suspect it's because he is white.

So - it is still a full contact sport - a mans game - a game in which tepers will occasionally flare. If you want a game sanitised to death watch football. |

Some others may say there's a difference between tempers flaring and a contrived assault. |

I really don't see how Westwood can escape. The context shows it was clearly retaliatory and impacted on the head with a closed fist.

But apparently, the RFL are giving him the option of an early guilty plea (Westwood, that is.)
