They never were, but then, suggesting that was taboo, and anyone doing it, written off as bitter. It's unfortunate that the whole thing has gone belly up because they were undercooked and thrown into the deep end before they'd learned to swim and here is the end result.

I want every club to do well, I felt sorry for the 3k+ fans losing their team. We must keep something in N. Wales even if its a C1 club.
Not every town needs a SL club but the pathways have GOT to be there for players or the hard development work goes straight to Rugby Union.

The outpouring of sympathy is for the [ifans[/i. Not the club, and not the 'system'. I can only speak for myself but I'd be similarly sympathetic towards the [ifans[/i of any club in a similar position.

Is he sad for all those clubs who develop and build and still don't get in super league? Or just the ones who lose their super league place cos they are the only clubs whose existence he knows about?

I.e. on the verge of going out of existence. If Crusaders were just dropping down a league I doubt there'd be anything like as much emotion involved - well, apart from the self-satisfaction of a few I guess.

Problem is the RFL will probably be looking for another businessman to bring in and mess it all up again

Going back to the start of this thread, I will never forget the scenes at the end of the game yesterday. And the Hull fans were fantastic. Had me close to tears hearing them sing for Crusaders. Brilliant stuff.

That video is superb...Hull's fans have garnered a bad rep by RL standards but they tend to have their moments, mainly the Saints semi in 2005, where the team just butchered us. I'd of been there if I hadn't made the opposite journey to Hull KR.

And the usual lot just will not let it go...
