The Warrington squad might be old, bt Morley, Monaghan, Higham, King and Briers all played 30+ games last year, as apposed to Vinnie, Wild and Feka probably kicked in about 15 each. Plus if you look at the standard of talent, i'd rather have a class 30 odd year old, than a has-been (or never has-been and never will be)

Hold on there Mr Burns, i never commented on the quality of your team im mearly saying the age of your team is the same or older than ours so your dads army comment isn't justified.

Why not though, i know "Leeds know how to win games" and all that jargon, but they have one proven hooker, that under performed fot 18 of his 24 months over here, and a youngster that doesnt look to be world beater. Their two best players of last year are missing the first 8 (ish) games. Rob Burrow has ost the yard of pace that made him any better than Dean Lawford impressionist. Brett Delaney is as good a centre as Barrie McDermott is, actually, Barrie would be quicker and at least look like breaking line. Signed Ben Cross, who has spent the past 6 years on his back in the NRL. The core of the Leeds team is rotting, Webb, McGuire, Burrow, Diskin and Sinfield are all struggling, losing a yard of pace, having to be wheeled out onto the pitch carrying an injury or (by far worst) joined Bradford

My comment wasnt just a dig at age, it was a general concept that maybe a few of the old guard can't cut it anymore

RED LEAGUE was trying to say that the same concerns can be levelled at Warrington, if you think it's not an issue for the Wolves, then go and look at your squads player profiles.

And my point wasnt the age, but the amount of minutes your going to get out of the players. For me, Morley Monaghan King and Briers have a lot more left in them than the likes of Wild, Anderson, Bailey and Nero.

| Although, any player over thirty is a gamble, Monaghan, King and Briers, might have more miles left in the tank? Morley's debatable though. For a long time now, he's made a name for himself as being a hard player and getting stuck in, and let's face it he's had a few injuries along the way. Not to mention he's been in some serious battles. He also got injured playing for England in October and is older than the rest anyway. Briers isn't exact a prime example of the shape a Rugby League should be keeping himself in either!!!! It could count against him.
Given their recent injury problems: Anderson, Bailey and Wild are three collective gambles Salford, probably, shouldn't have taken, but the club has a good deal of strength in depth, with three good up and coming second rowers and Rob Parker. Personally I'd be happy if we kept one or even two of them fit though the season.

Morley has got plenty left in him, just because he's not the 'hard man' he used to be doenst mean he isnt up to it anymore. Off memory, he featured in approx 24/25 games last year and never took a backward step. He's matured into a fine prop forward. Briers has never looked after his body, but could play in a dinner suit the amount of times he gets tackled, he could play as long as he likes (lets face it, he cant lose any pace, he's not got any!)

| This could go on all day!!! I'll come out with a Barrk McKenzie type quote, "you're obviously wearing Warrington Wolves tinted spectacles!!!!!!!!" I'll make a similar one about Salford's new signings, "the fact Wild, Bailey and Anderson haven't played much rugby over the last couple of years means their bodies have had plenty of time to repair themselves".

| after seeing us today i think the one thing you would need to worry about with wire is that we've got a proper goal kicker now, which will make a signifcent difference to us.

Diskin isn't a Rhino anymore.
And McShane looks to be an excellent prospest in my opinion. The few games I saw him play at Hull, his distribution was excellent, and his tackling technique was spot on. I think he's going to be an excellent hooker in the future.
But I do share the opinion that Leeds are on a downer.

| Quote: Dettoriman "Rather easy for me, Wigan will win the league by a street.
Warrington / Saints for the 2/3 spot.
Leeds, Hull Kr Hull FC and Bradford 4-7.... Salford and Cas fight for 8th
Wakefield bottom, Out of SL, And facing a tough battle to return in 3 years time with Halifax likely to place a bid too'"
I think that's probably the most accurate assumption in my eyes. Impossible to predict absolute positions, but much easier to split the league into mini segments.
As one-eyed and Bulls-orientated as this sounds, I think it's impossible to suggest we'll be lower or worse than last year. It's already been eluded to lots and lots by the other Bulls posters on this board, but not only do we have far more depth than 2010, we have a coach.
I'm genuinely excited for 2011 and if I was going to "guess" where Bradford would finish, I'd say 6th.

| Go on, keep tipping Quins to finish bottom, we had a good time proving everyone wrong (and spanking Wigan) last season.

Apparently 'they’ll be a team to be wreckoned with' ( sic). Hope we can 'wreckon' them when we go there.

Wakey will finish bottom this year (if they even start the season) so you are safe this year at least.
