Martyn Sadler and Dave Hadfield have been talking about this in the final Rugby League podcast of the season on the Independent's website.
Anyone heard it? Dave reckon's Liam Farrell of Wigan might have been worth selecting. www.independent.co.uk/sport/gene ... 39395.html

Liam Farrell is a good young player and I would guess that if his team had not made the Grand Final he would have been asked to join the train on squad
But, when you have back row options of the likes of Burgess, Ellis, Tomkins, Westwood, O'loughlin and Harrison, it's unfortunate for Farrell that he is in one of most competitive positions for England

| It's out wide that we'll get killed (again). Until we have a couple of wing/centre partnerships that can attack AND defend our chances of winning anything are zilch.
Unfortunately, it doesn't matter who we pick or who gets left at home. We don't have anyone in this country that can defend against a first choice Aussie backline.

Good job we won't be playing against a first choice Aussie backline then

I had to laugh when I read this bit
Monagahan said the Kiwi squad is full of players that ended the season in good form and will provide a "genuine test" for the Aussies. "The likes of Jeremy Smith, Greg Eastwood and Bronson Harrison were dominant in the second half of the year at club level and I think are ready to make their mark on the international stage," he said
Yes, Greg Eastwood was the dominent forward in Super League for the second half of the season... none of the English forwards came close!

| The only reason none of them came close is that they didnt want to be absorbed by his stomach.

He said you have a great forward pack. Typical blind Pommy with Australian passport.

| I'd say our tendancy to play for 65 minutes instead of 80 and the inability to close a game down [ishould [/iwe get into a winning position.
