| Quote: Yed "Hold 'The Church' at Quins then lock them in to watch the game.'"
The Church is probably the lowest form of "entertainment' known to man. What's more worrying is that Bazza apparently has a loyalty card
Not many people know of this interesting fact.
In 1872 the Australians invented the condom, using a sheep's bladder.
In 1873 the English some what refined the idea by taking the bladder out of the sheep first.

| Quote: Barry_McKenzie "Although it is a bit of a P in the A to get to Twickenham 'The Moon' Stoop from the Hammersmith/She Bu/ Willesden/Harlesden areas of London the main reasons Barry McKenzie never attended a Harlequins RL game were;
1. The team were very poor.
2. No one ever turned up and there was no atmosphere (hence 'The Moon' comment)
3. Harlequins have never had any half decent Aussies that any Antips would want to come and watch since the days of Jimmy Dymock and Dennis Moran when the club was the Broncos.
4. They don't sell VB.
5. I've never heard of any of the players.
6. 80 mins watching Quins RL would be 80 mins of my life I would never get back again.
7. The replica kit is foul and it would induce Glaucoma into anyone foolish enough to part with £45 for a jumper.
If these 7 points were addressed I would deffo have gone along.
Sadly I wont be here in sunny London next year to go along even if I wanted to... but even if I was... I wouldnt.
And I dont know anyone else who would either'"
The reason you dont watch live RL in London is because you're not an RL fan you're an online wind-up merchant that refers to himself in the third person, which proves you are a tw@
on a more positive note! Free parking with the platinum Season ticket! The Season Ticket that just keeps giving!

| Quote: Tre Cool "Please dont say its hard to get to the Stoop. Ive been doing it from the home counties for every home game. There are very regular 20 minute trains from Waterloo to Twickenham, and its a 10 min walk the other end. By car its 10 mins off the M3 coming from the M25. Any RL fan in the London area saying they dont come because its 'hard to get to' is a liar.'"
Yes that would be all well and good if you live near Waterloo - if there is tube lines down which is a possibility on a weekend it is a nightmare to get to!!! this is from first hand experience to!!

So it's now London Undergrounds fault is it Why not write to david Hughes and ask him to relocate the team to somewhere handier for you to get to

I left last October and if I'm honest, I am not sure who's happier.....me, Harlequins Rugby League or the Quins RL fans

Well yes, if public transport is down, then it is more difficult to get there by public transport

Well yes, it's always been easier to get to Twickenham from the Home Counties than from London, that's why the RFU built their national stadium there.

| Its easy to get there from anywhere. England union rahs manage it, Harlequins rahs manage it. If people dont want to go then fair enough, but dont blame the club for being in a suburb of London (as every other sports club in London is). RL fans in the south need to support the club and I think its strange that so many RL fans in the south stay away.

| No matter where the London SL team is based, there will always be a 'journey" for fans to get to games.
Twickenham is served by at least 12 trains an hour from London and a the same (or more) number coming in from outside the area.....then there's rlTHE BUS ROUTESrl into Twickenham....there is the North London Overground Train that runs from Stratford to Richmond.....
some people aren't happy unless there is a tube station directly beside the ground
Harlequins Rugby League will start their 6th season in the same ground in 2011. This will be the longest period that the club, in it's SL guise, has stayed put. The problems with attracting crowds has nothing to do with where the club are based, or their tie-in with the Union lot.....people will say that the "brand" gets lost or muddled and the average sports fan mistakes us for a Union team......I say EDUCATE THEM.......don't up sticks AGAIN.....don't change names AGAIN....stick with it and throw some money at the problem.
The ST offer of 99 quid is brilliant.......but pretty useless if you don't tell anyone other than the 2,000 who bought one last year and the other 1,000 who roll up from time to time.

| 1:30 is a long time to get to a game?
Try 2 hours plus for me to get to Leigh these days. The fact we're a bit rubbish doesn't put me off the trip when I can make it.
And the opinions of anyone who thinks VB is actually either 'good' or 'beer' aren't really worth listening to, are they? Especially when 1) He's a pretend convict, 2) Talks about himself in the third person.
No bed.
