What the hell are you talking about? Do you even understand English? You are obviously the one that is not very bright. Please tell me where I said any of the things that you are trying to make out I did or get off your high horse.
He was making out that Union people would never behave in that way, I was pointing out that they do. Simple as that.
I await your apology.

| Disappointing to say the least that he has been the victim of these chants. However it's not really suprising, you always get some scumbags who do things like this. I'm sure he's heard it all before though and I'd hope he can be the bigger man and not let it get to him.

There was mass outrage on here. Fans were boycotting the BBC, effigies of her were burnt, even a blow up doll with the name Gabby Logan was hung from the humber bridge. Your average chip on shoulder rugby league fan was emailing the bbc at this absolute outrage, when in fact, she was right.'"
Oh here he is again, the "Fan of Both codes" having a go at Rugby League. What a surprise. Why dont you just stop boring us and go to the Union Forums?

Why do you people always feed trolls?: |
|
| Quote: TrinityIHC "Firstly I agree that it is pathetic, but why is more of a deal made out of it than say people chanting the cyclops thing at Barrie mac?
In my mind it's the same and tbh GT should man up and not allow himself to be affected by it, especially considering his experience of playing in front of crowds.'"
Not saying it would happen to him but it does to others...

| I wasn't at the game and the reports say that fans called out to him that he was gay and that he 'took it up the bum'. Is taking the and stating the obvious classed as being homophobic?
Thomas has commented in the press, but did he raise an issue on the night with the match commissioner, the match officials or the Castleford club? It would seem he didn't, so was he that bothered?
Isn't this simply a case of sticks and stones and no different to any differentiating characterisitc being seized upon?
Personally I don't feel the need to rip into any players, but feel others should be free to as long as there's no malice or foul language.

Did these 'fans' feel the need to take the mick and sing songs about the sexual habits of the heterosexual players on the pitch?

| Every club has them, if it happens on Sunday, I think 99% of Wakefield supporters could point out the part of the ground the chants will come from and hope the stewards do their job if they do start the abuse.
Why should gay supporters/players/sponsors be made to feel unwelcome because of idiots in the crowd?

Chav Corner. Some of the idiots there find it hard to keep quiet during a minutes silence, even when it was for Watene, so i don't have high hopes for this Sunday, particularly given the proximity of the crowd to the pitch and the position Thomas plays.
Apparently a RFL official will be monitoring the behaviour of the crowd this Sunday. I hope they will leave with nothing to report.

Because the sexuality of supporters and players is not at all relevant to the enjoyment of a RL match, however the behaviour of idiots can and does reduce the enjoyment of a RL match.

Fans on the terraces regularly question the sexual habits of players and officials they shout abuse at. Have you never heard the massed chorus of 'the referees a w*nker' that comes across quite often on Sky?
Is it OK to question the sexual activities of an assumed heterosexual in this way? There's been comment on how it's bad language and doesn't come across well on TV, but not that it's offensive towards who it's aimed at.
What's the difference?
Had Thomas been targetted with real abuse about his sexuality, then there would be an issue. Sticks and stones.
Perhaps he should have turned to someone who was taking the mick and said he fancied them? One easy way to make a bloke shut up is that
Have you seen anywhere that Thomas reported this to any of the match officials, the match commissioner, the Castleford club on the night or the RFL?
Single paragraph in a big story picked up on by those in rugby league who are too keen to self flagellate in the name of appearing holier than thou and claiming the moral high ground above all other sports, union in particular.
