The regions I posted were the official ones as far back as the 1980s.
I could quote you some books to refer to but you can't read.
Google is more your cup of tea - when your carer explains it to you.

As it is, I have already said I was wrong to say League was not a big sport in the south island, but you continue to hark back to that. I actually said on a number of occassions that League has a massive opportunity to kick on in New Zealand and the fact that NZRU seem slow to react to threats would only help this growth, but you keep on harking back to posts I made before I properly researched the subject.
I repeat....regardless of what you think.....the list I linked to is from NZRL.

And when he did - google style like you - he came up with a list of 7 new regions (as of sometime in 2009) incorporating the very same areas I posted.
