god i detest rovers I really do, but I have several friends that support rovers, and that statement of things would never enter my mind
i have attended hull derbies since early 80s and theres always banter, but I have never been involved in violence as such.

For me fan wise Wigan v Saints will always be the biggest rivalry, but I reckon players wise State of Origin has to be the most intense.

I've always found Leeds v Bradford as the least intense derby of the big guns.

The problem with the Leeds vs Bradford derbies is that during SL there's only been about 2 seasons where both teams were on an even footing in terms of skill and players. At the beginning of SL it was very much a domination of Bradford which has now switched to a domination of Leeds. It's unfortunate that when the clubs could go toe to toe that the fixture was over exposed. We played each other 6 or 7 times one season. 2 games against your rival in a season, you can get worked up for those. when it's every other week then the game loses some of it's flavour

same here, anyone who sends us a christmas card with a robin gets ripped up and thrown in the bin!

You got them right, except for Eels vs Panthers, don't know where that one came from. Eels vs Doggies is probably the biggest rivalry in the NRL, see 74k at last year's semi.
