Even if there's promising players they're simply going to get steamrollered before they can do anything.
Is there NO decent Super League players you can call on? hell...go and beg at Briers' front door or something..or Harris should pull a shirt on..ANYTHING than what youve got out there'"
Quote: Dico "Lets make no bones about it, this game will be a massacre, I hope wales can put in a good first 30-40 but this story is probably my Favourite rugby league story of the year'"

| Well, tbh, the Welsh surprised me.
The non-RL folk I watched it with, however, were given the impression that international Rugby League is a second class sport played in half empty, run down stadiums, with no atmosphere.
Why couldn't it have been played in Cardiff City's new stadium?

| Some people are never happy. Pre-game moaning it would be a cricket score. Wales play well and restrict a very ordinary England and then the stadium is the problem

It's not far to Cardiff, the capital of Wales, and it would surely have been easier to convince newcomers to attend a game in a new stadium there, than in Bridgend.
Typical lack of ambition, which is why we're playing the Aussies in bloody Wigan.

| The fixture is on a hiding to nothing. Big scoreline and people say what a waste of time international rugby league is, or a close scoreline and England are a waste of time.
Wales played very well and with a great attitude. England started very slowly but picked up a little in the second half. I hope with the likes of Roby, Maguire, Sinfield etc. our kicking game vastly improves, and the pace of our play improves.
Incidently, Tomkins has given Smith real food for thought for the next game, Mcguire has to go in there but on form you've got to give Tomkins the nod to partner him.

It's not. International Rugby League has two 'top' teams. England V Wales cannot be played in a big stadium or marketed aggressively until the match is even enough for a competitive game to occur.
International league is in a shocking state and to be honest I don't know why they are bothering with it when there are no clubs in most of the countries that are trying to participate. That has to come first.
At the lower level of things there are enough teams to make a decent competition, but elsewhere it's not possible. Perhaps we should be playing in the Pacific Cup and not in the farcical 4 Nations.
Aus
Nz
Eng
Samoa
Fiji
Tonga
PNG
France
Ireland
Wales
Scotland

We were promoted out of that after spanking NZ 3-0 two years ago.
Not sure how NZ got out of it to get into the World Cup after that, but they did and made the most of it.

Listen mate. The game should never have been played.
When we're celebrating that England were dire enough to 'only' win by 36 points, it's hardly a glowing appraisal is it.
Add to that the stadium and atmosphere, and it just embarrasses the game.
Let France and Wales play each other and the likes of Scotland and Wales, and lets start up a 'Barbarians' style team to actually generate some excitement.
It would certainly get people talking.
