| David Bishop's two footed challenge on Charlie Mc Allister which broke his jaw, and more or less ended his career. Charlie was never the same player after that. Bishop got a lengthy ban.

| Quote: gulfcoast_highwayman "Westwood's wasn't worth showing on the Super League Show.'"
quite rightly they didnt show it, as they didnt show many replays on SKY - we dont want incidents like that being highlighted to the world when we are trying to promote a family friendly sport.

| Quote: saintcj "Newton on Long is the worse Ive ever seen live. '"
funnily enough, the one that really stuck in my mind that night was the assualt on Gilmour earlier in the game. It was only when I got home and watched the tape that I realised he had done the same to Long.
Willie Mason on Long in the Tri Nations was pretty bad.
Never seen the Sonny Nickle one, but I believe it was a shocker.
Goulding on Cowie wasnt that bad, no injury resulted, it was only made worse by the fact there was a 20 man brawl live on BBC1.

| Leon Pryce on Brian Carney in the 2003 Grand Final.
For some reason Pryce didn't seem to want the ball much after a quiet word from Andy Farrell.

Is not the one on Graeme Mackay at Headingley when Mackay was being held by two men or was there a separate one on Bradley?

| Quote: Dirty Pretty Thing "Is not the one on Graeme Mackay at Headingley '" That's what I thought.
Does anyone remember Shane Cooper's on Martin Ketterindge against 'fax at KR in 1995. What the hell was he thinking?? Flying elbow to the face!
The ref didn't even penalise it, but Saints subbed Cooper as he'd lost the plot. Walking of the filed he looked up at the cameras and had one crazy glare in his eyes. That actually turned out to be his last game for saints.
In the same match John Bently tried (and failed) to beat up Vila Matautia. Credit to him for trying.

| Quote: Wheels "Gareth Hock v London Broncos in 2005?
Like a flying kung-fu kick IIRC...'"
It was Martin Aspinwall on Jon Wells, kung-fu style kick to the lower stomach, Aspinwall must have thought he was Chuck Norris
Nothing funny about the RFL's response though, claiming there was insufficient evidence to charge him despite the incident being shown in all its Bruce Lee stylee glory on Sky Sports. I was stood on the terrace at Griffin Park at the time and it's one of the strangest incidents I've ever seen in a RL match.

| Kelvin Skerret on Jarrod McCracken Saints Wigan Boxing Day 1992.
Skerret ran full bore with the point of this elbow straight into McCrackens Jaw.
The only time I have seen the club doctor run straight onto the pitch without being asked.
Search "St Helens v Wigan - Boxing Day 1992" on the usual site.

just watched that again - shocking assault.
That was the game that McCracken kicked Steve Hampson in the goolies - early on in the first half; then later in the 2nd half, when it all kicked off again following a downfield kick, he returned the kick by running 50m directly into the fight zone and got stuck in.
