| Hopefully Justin will turn out to be a good signing for us, although there are clearly concerns over any player coming over here from the NRL.
Surely the top players would wish to stay in the worlds premier competition.

| I thought he was nailed on to go to Newcastle? Well done Wakey for getting him. I hope they can get him back to his pre-Parra form.

Jarryd Hayne
Luke Burt
Nathan Hindmarsh'"Hayne has spent most of the past two seasons on the sideline and by his high standards has been relative average for para, Luke Burt was dropped to reserve grade for a while as it was inevitable his time as an NRL winger was coming to an end and Hindmarsh is probably the only exception to the rule as he's always given 100% for Parra despite most of his team mates playing so ordinary. Chris Sandow and Shane Shackleton in recent years both signed for Parra with huge raps and both turned out to be basket cases at the club with the latter leaving.

Well Hayne can not help injuries can he? he has been good enough to be selected for NSW in 2012 for all three games and two of three games in 2011, How bad is he?
Hindmarsh could still be playing in the second row for Australia, he would not let anyone down and would be a better option than Watmough or Williams.
Burt was going that bad that he was selected for the Prime Ministers XIII last year, you do realise Burts career records? Most tries for a Parramatta player, Burt's 1,793 points is the 8th most in first grade history, and the second most for Parramatta.
He is crap I guess, most players NRL careers end when the get in their 30's unless they move to SL its called growing older.
Shane Shackleton is a no one, average Joe at best.
Chris Sandow, is like many other indigenous players in the past, on his day unplayable, his day is not consistent enough to make him a solid (expensive) option, He was the same at Souths.
Big gamble that was always unlikely to work out.
Next?
Parramattas biggest issues has been.
a) Poor Back Office culture and meddling.
b) Poor Choice of Coach.

your delusional if you think the Prime Ministers XIII is any thing prestigious your kidding your self they nearly got beat by PNG this year and if you have a look at the team it has a few star players but a lot of ordinary one's. I'm not refuting the fact Luke Burt has been a absolute Parra legend but the past two seasons he's been strictly average at best. Regarding Hayne every one knows he's picked by NSW because of his potential ability not because of what he's produced for Parra in recent years, he was even dropped from the Blue's squad last year if I remember correctly and they play him on the wing because frankly Stewart is a much better player with greater consistency in his game. Hindmarsh is a work horse and always has been I'd rather face him than Tony Williams who is devastating in attack and can open the holes required to win and international.

That's enough for me.
You have no idea, that is obvious.
I could respond and embarrass you but its not worth it.
Was Hayne dropped for a bad game in SOO? He was picked for games 2 and 3.
You do realise that SOO and Test teams more often than not have Fullbacks on the Wings (at least one wing)
I think there was 3 or 4 Fullbacks in the recent Oz side to play the Kiwis?
If Brett Stewart is so good why has he not been selected on the Wing for Oz? (one game 2007)
What is your assessment of the Prime Ministers selection squad?
What is it about and why are players selected?
Are they random players out of a hat?

| ps
Tony Williams is crap
He has the ball handling skills that are laughable.
Penalty machine, that is either banned or injured for much of the year.
He is from the same school as Manu Vatuvei.
Not worth the hassle.

You do realise that the Prime Ministers XIII are selected from players from teams not in the finals of the NRL?
That narrows down the Stars somewhat, if it was SL who would be in the England Team?
The NRL has a good spread of stars seeded amongst all of the Clubs.
ps
Trent Barrett was a player that was considered to have been selected as a "favourite" rather than on ability, he was NEVER the best player in his position.

Hayne wasn't picked for game 1 because his form was very average and they considered Josh Dugan a better option who subsequently was injured. I know the point your trying to make but let's face it the only reason Boyd, and Hayne play on the wings for state and country is due to Slater and Stewart being preferred and seen as better options.
The following in the prime minsters squad are nowhere near good enough to represent the Kangaroo's its a gimmick of a game with agining veternas like Burt and young up and comers like Aaron Woods to play in. The list bellow of players in that squad just proves it's not a serious game and has a lot of average players.
