20,821 fans packed in Odsal tonight

Awesome effort from all concerned. I don't know how the takings are split but that should be about £300k minus costs and Leeds' share (do they get one?) - surely they've hit the £500k.



And fantastic result for the Bulls on the pitch as well.

It really was! It just wouldn't seem right without that kind of comment.

The threat of dropping out the league has clearly brought out the fans for that big crowd. It could be like this every week if they had promotion and relegation! It's that damn franchising again!

Are they making the over 10,000 season pass holders pay again?

No. Apparently a large number of fans suggested that they [iwould[/i pay for entry instead of using their tickets, but because of ground and ticket regulations (and the final announced attendance) it would have been a logistical nightmare for Bradford, not withstanding the fact that it would (I think) have landed them with an even bigger tax bill to pay further down the line - so instead of making the game uneligible for ST holders, they put collection buckets by the turnstiles.

Many members offered to pay but it's unfair to make it mandatory so for that reason, and turnstile reconciliation and stadium attendance/capacity reasons they set up collection points. Members could also make a payment online.



Either way they should have made enough to reach £500k.

To give the lie to some of the nasty rubbish posted by a minority, the bucket collection looks to have been amazing. And plenty of Leeds fans were chucking in. Massive thanks to those who did. Every one of them a better man than you.



And we are talking loads of notes in the buckets. And the collections were made by volunteers.



And the best atmosphere at Odsal for many a year.



If we don't survive after that, it will be a travesty.
