| Quote: 10940 "I once asked the coaches of the English Rugby Union and Rugby League sides if they had a particular strategy for deciding which players were more suited to being in the forwards or the backs. they both agreed , when we get them we make them run around in a forest. The ones who run in to the trees, we make into forwards. The ones who run around the trees are backs..........VERY typical.
It's funny because I was talking to the Australian Rugby League coach and he told me how they decide on positions for players over in the Southern Hemisphere:
Deficating in a corridor = Prop forward (Nate Myles)
Urinating in Public or on a member of the public = Second Row or the halves (Willie Mason, Cooper Cronk, Brett Finch, Todd Carney)
Fighting = halves (Tim Smith)
Stumbling round drunk half naked in a hotel corridor = Coach (Brad Fittler)
Alleged assaults against women = Could play anywhere but by showing such an interest in their country's tradition and heritage almost certainly means they have the class to represent their country (Greg Bird, Greg Inglis, Brett Stewart, Darius Boyd, Karmichael Hunt, Sam Thaiday, Dane Laurie, Joel Thomson, Jake Friend)
If you want to post stupid comments, there is always actual facts that make Australians look more stupid than their English counterparts. Now give it a rest, it's STUPID, I wish I wasn't so fed up with Aussies coming on here having a go at the English and could treat it with the contempt it deserved by not replying at all. Let's put it to rest and start talking about Rugby League, I know it's the off season but surely having a go at each others' countries and players really doesn't help anyone.

I think we lost 9-8 to the Scots, but I'm pleased to say we beat both England and Wales quite comfortably, and drew with Ireland,or rather Ireland drew with Australia

Actually the game was much better to watch than the England v Aust game, just spoiled by Giteaus first ever off-day at goal kicking.

You clearly aren't worth engaging in debate on rugby league issues.

I dont understand your last paragraph about zilch tries,I thought the word Zilch meant "nothing",however we scored a try against Scotland, they didn't and we scored 4 tries against Wales, they didn't score any.
I dont begrudge Scotlands win,..as long as we keep beating the poms I'm very happy......I see your cricketers are back on form against S Africa

Look Gijou,I dont want anything to do with your type of person you are obviously out to cause bother so forget I exist just as I will about you,I am always careful about the type of person I associate with, and you definately do not come under that category.

I am sure you will agree it is nice to see India top of the world test cricket rankings with South Africa in second place. And South Africa still rated the top one day side. While in Rugby Union NZ are top rated with South Africa second.
Didn't spot Oz in the seedings for the World Cup football either. Never mind you're still best at Aussie Rules whatever that is.
It seems it's all going down under......Down Under if you see what I mean!

41283_1265527797.jpg You don't shake a tree and a baggy green cap falls out, this is Australia not England.
The stronger the challenge the greater the victory.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_41283.jpg |

I am sure pleased to see England are beating SA,making it easier for Australia to rise up to their usual spot of No1 again in test cricket and also pleased to see Australia are still No1 in ODI cricket,(England No7 also No1 in Mens hockey( England No6) Australian women No5 (England No7) Australian Women NO1 in netball (England well down in the cellar) Australian men &women both No1 in Surfing,Australia No1 Rugby League,Australia No3 Rugby Union (England No6)
Cadel Evans the top Road cyclist in the world, and we have recently taken a few other cycling titles from you lot.
You must agree One Cornet,we are way above you poms in most sports and I guess in about another 20 years we will outrank you at soccer.....I will agree we have a fair way to go to outrank you at Curling, Snooker, Darts ,and Tiddley-winks.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
