| Ian Sibbet, Keith Mason, Jordan Tansey, Richie Mathers, Chris Thorman all got starts in the NRL, brown could easily get a start too, maybe not first choice starter but if the lad wants to try a new lifestyle and can get a club why are people so quick to knock him?

| I think he's a talented player - relatively big for a back yet very athletic with good hands. Not the most consistent but he's improved with age, similar to Chris Bridge really in that he was touted for big things early but took his time to perform at the standard expected of him. Hope it works out for him, if he's committed to it then I think he's got enough talent to succeed over there.

What is it with people thinking every single player in the NRL is superman and its a league far far far superior to our own (although it is agreed it is better).
Lets not forget Ellis has become one of the best players in that league, Morley didn't do a half decent job. Even Tansey and Thorman went down and did ok and played pkenty of first grade.
Brown is a good player and would play week in week out at a decent club, its fact. The sooner we get over this superiority factor, thats half the battle.

Thats funny because some of the NRL imports aren't good enough for Super League.

| Assuming he has modest wage demands, he'll have no problem getting a first team place, and even if he perform averagely, it'll do his international chances the world of good.

Did Thorman make it?
FWIW, I think Brown's a player who is solid in all departments, which is something the Aussies seem to like. I could imagine him getting a run as a utility three-quarter, but I'd be surprised if any NRL club would plump for him at stand-off.

| As I said on the Hudderfield forum:
Kev Brown is a very high quality centre, he has bags of pace, power and very good handling, a decent kicking game and very good defence.
Unfortunately he has been asked to play out of his natural position IMO, and so not lived up to his potential.
That said, it was noticable how much Huddersfield missed Kev at stand off after his injury (not just he CC game, but the remainder of the season). Not hugely flashy and eyecatching as a 6, but damned effective it seems.
I'd rather him stay at huddersfield and see him and Lawrence as out centres next season, but if the gets an NRL gig, I am sure he will impress them.

Thorman made it? If you call less then a dozen games over 2 seasons (mostly in 2004 when Parra failed to make the .
Thorman came over as an England rep, was horrible and left accordingly.
